GoldSpider: GAT_00: GoldSpider: GAT_00: Anyway, you're good, and don't remind me of this later on because I don't want to remember being honest.

I'll be sure to call you a statist browshirt in the next thread I see you in if it will make you feel more centered :)

Where the fark have you been anyway? You aren't on here.

Less Fark time at work; job's giving me enough to get pissed off about lately. Maybe I'll be on more once I get the fark outta there and find an IT shop that's not run like a Wal-Mart customer service desk. And let's face it, there isn't a lot new going on in the politics tab lately. The Penn State threads were far more interesting (and closer to home/heart).

I could have sworn Donald was going to enter the presidential race with Traficant as Veep.

Looks like their hair (pieces?) really isn't sentient. Who'da thunk?

Because if I was a sentient hairpiece, I'd totally want all the power I could get. Mwahaha! Fall in line, non-sentient hair. You will bow down to me!

Apparently, my candidate is stuck in a snow storm.

I'm pretty sure my candidate is either the Green Party candidate or the Democratic Party candidate.

And I don't vote Green for federal positions.

Mikey1969: COMALite J: Who was their "only sane candidate" in your opinion? By my count, they had three: Buddy Roemer (how I wish he hadn't quit even as an independent at the end of May ― I'd love to see how this thing would work with him in it!), Jon Huntsman, and Gary Johnson, in descending order of preference for me.

Jon Huntsman. The man was actually a bastion of sanity in Utah, of all places(AND a Mormon as well). They farked it up, had their chance to get someone with half a brain and no need for a straightjacket in the WH and decided Bachmann and Co were a better choice.

/Not familiar at all with Roemer, and for some reason I was confusing Johnson with Scott Walker.

I liked Roemer for a similar reason to why you liked Huntsman. The man managed to be Governor of Louisiana ― LOUISIANA!!!without becoming corrupted (heck, getting there without having already been corrupt is a major achievement in and of itself, but remaining uncorrupted even after heading Louisiana politics is a Kryptonian / Marvel Omega-class mutant level superpower!).

When Chicago politicians need lessons in corruption, they go to Louisiana.

How non-corrupt is Roemer? He refused all PAC, SuperPAC, and corporate donations, and would accept no more than $100 from each individual donor.

As I said, Huntsman was my #2 choice. I agree with everything you said. Both he and Johnson (and Roemer) were/are basically the good aspects of Ron Paul without the batshiat insanity.

Britney Spear's Speculum: No one fits me:
Pro gun
Global warming is real
Evolution is real
Education is good
Social security age needs to be raised
Stop farm subsidies
End tax cuts
Stop bending over backwards for illegals
Pro affirmative action
Legalize weed
Pro stem cell
Don't fark with the internet
Stop wars
Stop oil subsidies
Stop new drilling
Gays should be allowed to marry
Abortion should be legal and easily accessible
We need more birth control

I agree with most of that. See my own stances above on Abortion especially, and the others as well. I think you might like my Pro-Rights abortion position.

I would like a different sort of quiz.

You would need questions like "Do you support defending the integrity of the US constitution?" and a question like "Should the children of illegal aliens born in the US be granted citizenship?" and when you answer in ways that are fundamentally hypocritical, a signal is returned to your computer's power supply to send a jolt through the keyboard.

LordJiro: Mostly Green, with Obama second. Will be voting Obama, because voting third party in the current system is, unfortunately, worse than futile. Hopefully, the Greens will fill the power vacuum when the Republican party collapses.

Did you see how many other people ALSO got Green as their top match? If all of you just stopped being bullied into voting for the "major" parties, you'd actually have a chance at winning in a cycle or two.

/your vote for Obama is utterly futile, too

For the ellipse, insert "they claim that amendments are part of the constitution."

The context, you might recall, was hypocrisy. That and the general construction had me thinking that an opposite was obviously implied and anybody who had bothered to read that far could readily fill in the blank, or ellipse as the case may be.
