I became more farking liberal. So much for that theory.

90% Obama
88% Greenie
73% Alexander
60% Gary FARKING Johnson
36% RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH
25% RON GODDAMN PAUL
11% Who the fark is this?
9% Mitt Goddamn Romney

Hahaha fark you theory and fark you liver

Mikey1969: Add to that the fact that the Right shot themselves in the foot by laughing their only sane candidate out of the race, and instead focusing on the craziest loudmouth assholes, finally setting on the flip flopping lying assbag Romney, and it's clear.

Who was their "only sane candidate" in your opinion? By my count, they had three: Buddy Roemer (how I wish he hadn't quit even as an independent at the end of May ― I'd love to see how this thing would work with him in it!), Jon Huntsman, and Gary Johnson, in descending order of preference for me.

2012-08-03 08:48:04 PM
Obama than Stein then Johnson with Paul and Goode at the bottom.

Dammit Obama, let's get NASA back and get that old fashion America future hope rolling.

2012-08-03 08:48:29 PM

Mikey1969: MaudlinMutantMollusk: Therion: Jill Stein?

In other news, I finally learned that the Green Party actually has a candidate running ...

This^

/who?

This as well...

I actually had more in common with her than with Barack, but as I said upthread, this isn't a time for playing around with my vote. Mittens will have us all shoveling dressage horse shiat for 50 cents an hour if he gets the job.

A big difference for me was the healthcare issue. I had originally said I supported ACA. I had 91% Obama, 86% Stein. I changed it to Institute a mandatory single payer system. Now, it is 88% Stein, 87% Obama. I, knowing single payer was politically impossible, don't think it should make that big a difference.

2012-08-03 08:49:36 PM

Skyrmion: I get 88% Stein. Was this website sponsored by the Committee to Elect Jill Stein or something?

Honestly, I think the internet generation is far more in-line with the Green party than either of the big two. Gives me hope for the future.

2012-08-03 08:49:37 PM

GoldSpider: Still a little hung up on "Should Congress raise the debt ceiling?"... I agree with both of the "Offset" options...

I went choose your own adventure on that one and said the debt ceiling should be abolished. It's a stupid gimmick started for political messaging in the ramp up to WWI and it's never worked to curtail our debt.

How about, "Congress spends the money with the budgeting process, they're obliged to service that debt"? Is that really so hard?

It creates more problems than it solves. Just kill the damn thing already. There's a pretty good argument to be made that it's even unconstitutional. See Amendment 14, Sec. 4. Of course, unless the US Government tried to default, no one would have standing to sue, but...

Obama - 90%
Stein - 85%
Romney - 31%

I went surprisingly green but then my extent of knowledge about the green party is that they exist so who knows.

I really liked the flexibility in the quiz...
...but it put me at nearly dead even between Obama and Romney.

Your quiz needs more work.

Hell, they ran Cynthia McKinney last time around. They will have to get their shiat together and run in local races before I will give them a look in a federal election.

Jon Huntsman. The man was actually a bastion of sanity in Utah, of all places(AND a Mormon as well). They farked it up, had their chance to get someone with half a brain and no need for a straightjacket in the WH and decided Bachmann and Co were a better choice.

/Not familiar at all with Roemer, and for some reason I was confusing Johnson with Scott Walker.

Okay, who should I votey votey for, Mrtraveler01?

Should I vote for Mittens because he'll destroy that mean ol' Iran for Israel?

Or should I vote for Obama because he'll continue fast forward the destruction of the US?

You have no choice, sucker.

Party Boy: I really liked the flexibility in the quiz...
...but it put me at nearly dead even between Obama and Romney.

Your quiz needs more work.

Just for the inevitable snarky comment regarding the purpose of the quiz to highlight a candidate on your issues, I put a lot of weight against neoconservative foreign policy. The quiz was lacking there. It had some questions on neoliberal economic policies, but was markedly weak on neoconservative foreign policy questions.

Mitt Romney 43%

Hell, I don't even need government funded healthcare, as long as they drag all of the lobbyists out to a field and shoot them, then burn the bodies, we could probably get it to be priced more like auto or homeowner's insurance. On top of that, the insurance companies need to follow the farking laws that are in place... Example: I had a chiro in Phx that used to give a discount if you didn't use insurance. My ins. at the time required pre-approval. I got 15 visits pre-approved, and a year later he happened to be doing paperwork when I showed up. He dug up my bills from a year before that the ins. company had pre-approved and just ignored his requests for payment. Law stated that they had to pay within 30 days of getting the bill. Farking bullshiat. They fix stuff like that so someone can actually afford to get insurance, and the Drs will actually ACCEPT it, and I don't care if we have universal health care, but since I don't see that happening, I'm going for the universal choice, however it ends up working.

Most annoying part of the whole debate is the fact that a large majority of the law is similar to, or exactly the same as Republican talking points from just 3 or 4 years ago. Farking Obstructionist party needs some thinning, that's for sure. I'm hoping this younger generation will be a little less of the loudmouth bigoted asshole type, it's why I actually like Meghan McCain(That and the boobs), it gives me hope that the younger kids aren't quite as bad.

Karac: Should the federal government regulate the internet to deter online piracy?
Quiz assumes that such a thing is even possible.

Should the U.S. maintain a presence at the United Nations?
Is this even an objective of ANY candidate? Who thinks that not engaging in foreign policy is a good idea?

The Bush administration and John Bolton in particular (a Romney adviser) would like a word with you.

Well the goddamn room won't stop spinning because I drank 200 ml of rum thanks to no alcohol tolerance and you aren't around enough. There's no voice of reason around here and you're closer than anything else. You're not Weaver who called me a goddamn Authoritarian which is bullshiat. Oh my god I am going to hurt so bad tomorrow and autocorrect is awesome. Anyway, you are honest and I just want to say that. Which I don't say normally, because I'm well, me. So there's that, and fark the rest of you which say I say shiat because I'm drunk. I barely drink, and it's for reason, and this is for reason. Can't even drink a third of a bottle of bacardi. Less Fark time at work; job's giving me enough to get pissed off about lately. Maybe I'll be on more once I get the fark outta there and find an IT shop that's not run like a Wal-Mart customer service desk. And let's face it, there isn't a lot new going on in the politics tab lately. The Penn State threads were far more interesting (and closer to home/heart).
