same here. i consider myself fairly fiscally moderate - right even. but i'm socially very liberal. i approve of TARP and "obamacare" because i believe that they're truly conservative - i.e. they were necessary, the former to prevent a catastrophic cascading economic disaster and the latter to prevent an impending healthcare crisis.

but i think those might've skewed me leftward on this.

that, and the fact that the republican party is SO far right now that anyone to the left of generalissimo franco is considered a marxist.
