Just let the filter change it to "fark".

"When you're rich, you want a Republican in office."

A lot of rich people (and wannabe rich people) think this is the case, but it's really not.

www.washingtonmonthly.com

Business is just as good for the rich under Demcrats as it is under Republicans. In fact, this graph is a few years old, and we all know the top has been doing pretty f*cking well under Obama, so it probably looks even better for the Dems now.

Actually it's slightly better even using old data.

Face it, folks. Republican presidents aren't good for anybody. Unless you really, really hate gay people.

Where are you getting these from? I know I'm being overly cynical, but graphs without citations reek of MS Paint to me.

The Mitt Romney endorsement appears to be a departure from previous political leanings displayed by Jameson. The 38-year-old entrepreneur has previously appeared in People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals campaigns

Breaking news: apparently supporting PETA is incompatible with supporting republicans.

/Wait, that was supposed to be a joke. Sorry Seamus

"I'm very looking forward to a Republican being back in office," Jameson said while sipping champagne in a VIP room at Gold Club in the city's South of Market neighborhood. "When you're rich, you want a Republican in office."

Jameson made the comments exclusively to a CBS SF staffer who was attending an event marking the 8th anniversary of the gentlemen's club.

There is so much in these few lines that is delightful.

but you see the U3 numbers going up has nothing to do with more people starting to look for jobs again because they are encouraged by the consistent job growth, it is 100% because oingoboingo decided to tax olympians and the people are frowning at him by not getting jobs

According to the census data (for 2005), the 95 percentile cuts off at around $157k/year.

Wait until September when the numbers are revised down.

June numbers were revised down from 80,000 to 64,000 a 20% decrease.

The economy needs to create 200,000+ jobs a month to break even.

The percent of workers has not gone up in the last few years yet the unemploymnt number has dropped.. Hmmm...

I'm sure that Mitt Romney will immediately thank the champagne sipping porn star for pointing out that he'd be good for rich people from the VIP room of a nightclub. That is exactly what he wants associated with his campaign.

She was probably a sociopath before she was rich. A certain lack of emotional involvement seems like it would be of great benefit to her chosen career.

I think the direction of causation is the other way around. It is typically people who have less capacity for empathy who tend to succeed financially more so than a more empathetic control population. Of course, I recognize the potential for a feedback process that rewards sociopathic behavior thereby increasing the likelihood of some people expressing those tendencies.

I seriously doubt she's rich enough, on an annual income basis, to benefit from Romney.

Republicans are good for the rich that want a business environment where it's harder for middle class to make a business that can compete with their own.

Not surprising, most Porn Stars and thier producers are Republicans. Go to any upscale sex club and you can't swing a rubber dildo without hitting a Republican. It's why Obama is President now. They're all a bunch of hypocritical perverts. Which makes their cow-towing to the religious right all the more maddening.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, she's worth $30 million. I'm not sure what that means for annual income, but she would probably benefit greatly from Romney lowering capital gains rates.

That's right, she's a porn star worth $30 million. God Bless America.

I know Ted Nugent had almost convinced me to vote for Romney, but this on your face endorsement leaves me more cocksure than ever who I'll be voting for come this November to help snatch victory from the clutches of Obama. I know that will be hard on the democrats, and many will no doubt be anal, about what though I can't be sure since ultimately they're the nuts that will have shot themselves in the face. Thanks for keeping me abreast of this development that's sure to be on the minds and lips of the erectorate for months.

Clinton repealed credit control regulations, such as the Glass-Steagall act, effectively throwing gasoline on the fire that was the subprime mortgage market. Although Bush had 8 years to work towards correcting the market, let's be fair; the fault is bipartisan.

If those numbers that old graph are right (which I doubt but for the sake of argument I'll pretend), and the median houshold income has actually dropped between 6% and 8% (depending on which report you use) since Obama's been in office......

graphics8.nytimes.com

This means Barack Obama is actually worse than every Democrat and Republican administration since 1948.

No wonder he's letting Bill Clinton take over his campaign.

It's tragic how Obama destroyed the booming, growing economy he was handed. If he would only slash taxes for the rich we could bring back the golden age of 2008!
