Earlier I posted Bitter was not doing well. After a talk with the vets, I confirmed what I strongly suspected - that it was his time. Bit was put down at about 4pm. The world has a little less anger in it now than it did before (remember, he was the world's angriest cat - here's photo proof: [i.imgur.com image 240x320]).
And yes, 1000Airplanes, I think it's perfectly normal for a grown man to cry like a baby.
To those that sent well wishes (Sickapie, laulaja, Salem Witch, Bathia_Mapes, tigerose and probably some others i missed), thank you.

Well then, a 2nd I'm sorry is in order. You did the right thing.

Out of curiosity, can you source images from facebook on here? I'm a pretty big smarty-pants, but I seem to have a learning disability when it comes to computers.

Just find the picture you want,
Right click on it.
Choose "Copy Image Location" (that copies the picture URL to the clipboard)
Go to the message entry box and press Ctrl-V (that pastes the picture URL from the clipboard)
Highlight the pasted URL,
Click on the button at the top of the reply box that has mountains on it.
That will update the image URL into the proper format for Fark to show the picture.

Hope this helps.

Hurrah, they have been found! After Beethoven passed away last year, I planned to dismantle the ferret cages and sell them on Craigslist. However, the interior boards and ramps for one cage were missing, and I couldn't remember seeing them since before our move out here. Crap! I had searched EVERYWHERE, for months, and no luck.

Today, the hubby and I were running some ethernet cable out to the garage so I can watch Netflix when cycling away on the elliptical, and I spied with my little eye something that began with green. It was the missing parts! They'd gotten packed into a box with other shelf-items during the move and stacked at the bottom of a bunch of stuff in the corner of the garage where I never bothered or was able to look. Gah! This week I shall clean them up nicely, take pictures, and put them up for sale. Hurrah!

...But if anyone in the Central Valley/Northern California area is looking for a pair of large ferret cages on the cheap, I'm only an email away. :)

Longtime lurker, very rare poster.
My sister, in north St. Louis county (Ferguson) in MO has a litter of kittens under her porch. I don't live there anymore, I live in WI. She'd love to keep them, but allergies prevent that. She would, however, like to make sure these cats stay healthy and happy, and in the heat she worries about them. She has transportation and time issues, so going and getting traps and all that is kind of out of the question, for her. Can anyone help, or are there any suggestions?
