(Talking Points Memo)   Romney campaign explains that their tax plan isn't an actual, detailed plan, but more of a plan for making a plan. But that plan will be awesome, they swear, so that settles that   (2012.talkingpointsmemo.com) divider line 203

Mitt Romney, will you give us more info about your tax plan?

encrypted-tbn3.google.com

I'm sorry, I can't do that.

...he would write a tax plan that achieves those goals," he said. "So, it's not a question of 'today we have a 2000 page tax plan that could be scored.'"

He's been running for President for 6 years. You'd think he would have come up with something by now.

It's a secret plan to fight inflation...which Josh doesn't support.

"The governor's plan essentially lays out the parameters that he wants to achieve: lowering the tax rate by 20 percent, achieving revenue neutrality, and maintaining progressivity and within that he would write a tax plan that achieves those goals,"

Seems like a tax on buzzwords would solve all our problems.

So they had a meeting and agreed to have another meeting to make the plan? Was he this incompetent at Bain?

Can you imagine if this clown wins? I'm imagining him getting sworn in, on that cold January morning, and it's as mind-boggling as Sarah Palin being our VP.

themindiswatching: So they had a meeting and agreed to have another meeting to make the plan? Was he this incompetent at Bain?

He was a figurehead at Bain. They paid him to stay out of the way. Essentially the same way he would be as President. Rove, et al would just be paying him to stay out of the way and sign whatever they put in front of him.

The Romney camp has decried the report by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center as "biased," suggesting that their own expectations are that an explosion of economic growth thanks to their policies will make up any revenue gaps in the plan that indicate it will be a drag on middle class Americans.

ahahahahahaha... "This missing 10%? Yeah, we'll just assume you'll get 15% raises every year... there, now it works!

Introducing tax reform is one of Romney's "Day One" promises. When between now and January is he planning on actually making a tax plan?

Years ago he'd be laughed off the national stage for pulling crap like this. Today he gets widespread support among st republicans which is farking scary as hell and wander why they support raising their own taxes. I heard a nice interview which seems to clarify the issue, all these republican supports seem to have no problem raising taxes on the poor to offset the rich because they all assume they'll be rich via the lottery or some other magical means.

Barack Obama spent 2 years running for president, 2 years acting as president and 2 years running for president again..........and WTF is his plan? I guess for a guy that couldn't even get a budget passed with both houses of congress and a filibuster proof senate we need to keep expectations low and keep the conversation about things that matter like birth control.

I love the fact that there are taxpayers out there who don't have a choice about whether to pay more under Mitt's plan.

I mean, I don't think of myself as rich, so why should they? We have a lot in common, really.
