I like that you chose the ironic tag, subby. Subtle.

Pfft. Typical corporate sheepism.

Visual art peaked with post-Spanish-American War stereopticon. I'll be enjoying some with my usual bottle of vintage Moxie at my weekly Gnip-Gnop tournament before donning my Extra Medium Britny Fox concert tee and going to see my favorite band play their only gig ever at a railroad overpass. I doubt you've heard of them.

Actually, the twilight movies in the park are awesomely enjoyable, as long as you bring a blankie in case it gets cold. I've been to them at Union Square, North Beach, and Dolores Park. I'ts just cool, especially with retro flicks.

I don't think the bicycle aspect will make much of a difference, though I'll be first to admit I loathe the culture of some of the kamikaze bicyclists who run red lights and stop signs and the police still refuse to ticket.

Will they have cruelty-free soy butter for their fair trade popped corn?

Ooooohhh, but this is only the TIP of the HIPSTER ICEBERG....

This time, Anello wants to get permits, proper equipment and draw a larger audience. But Manifold doesn't want it to be overly sponsored, and they want tickets to be free. That's why they are offering perks like t-shirts, posters and big-screen shoutouts to people who donate online.

You all know how this will end up:

Schwinn, in association with Specialized presents

THE BICYCLE THIEF

Presented without commercial interruption by Huffy.

$25 now or $50 at the door, plus $10 convenience fee.
No refunds, no exchanges, no hiding your date in saddlebags.

ONLY AT TICKETMASTER

None of them will have:

- Lights
- Crash helmets
- Reflective gear
- Working knowledge of the "highway code"
- Risk assessment skills

They will also display grossly oversized thighs in lycra on otherwise flimsy, stick-like bodies.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Not much room for a traditional drive in theater in most major cities, and many cities already have "Movies in the Park." So why not encourage people to ride their bike to see a movie? I have done that for a few Movies in the Park here in Chicago.

2012-08-02 05:29:49 AM
Eh? We've had bike-in movies for years in Kansas City freaking Missouri and it didn't cost us $24000.

You probably didn't hear about them though.

I've seen plenty of "Movies in the Park" over the years... and many cyclist showed up.

/nothing is quite as immersion breaking as getting feasted on by swarms of mosquitoes, gnats, and horseflies.

So why Kansas City, MO? Was the idea of Missouri City too silly? Or were the early inhabitants confused on which state they actually lived in at the time?

:-D

WTF happened to you guys? You used to make the best games, and now you just re-release those games 20 years later.

Having just vacationed in SF, I can tell you that it takes forever to get anywhere. Bikes are a good solution, especially with the bike rental system they have. Plus, they have a lot of bike lanes instead of making people ride in the streets.

What? Did I say something weird, off-color, double-entendred, moronic, or trollerific? Really I meant twilight like you come and get settled while the sun is slowly setting and when it's past sunset they play the movie in the park in the dark. Or is this payback for saying the sun causes global warming?

Hey submitter couldn't you work "snowflake" into your headline too. This is fark. You have to beat those lame cliches into the ground over and over again if you want to be popular here. Be sure to use "troll" in every other post too and don't forget to refer to "Drew" like he's a personal friend.

Isn't there some place that lets you hunt hipsters for sport? Kind of like "The Most Dangerous Game" with far more smug. Or am I confusing fantasy with reality again?
