D_Evans45: spentmiles: I'm running a booth in Tennessee. I bought 1000 pairs of sunglasses made in China. These things literally break ten minutes after you put them on. Something with the face oils. Whatever. At $10 a pop, I'm gonna be a very very very wealthy man.

You're going to gleefully sell people faulty items, then brag about it online? WTF is wrong with you, dumbass? Is this acceptable amongst white trash?

He's trolling.

I buy old postcards at flea markets and yard sales, because sending cards is a hobby...when I'm at maximum productivity I'll send ten a week, at a lower point I'll send a batch of 15 once a month. Nowadays I'll sell cards I know can make money, but I still dearly love screwing with post card people. "This one's a gem, honey. Are your scrapbooks acid and lignin free?" "Oh, I'm not saving this. I'm going to cover it with stickers and send it to my sister-in-law." The look is priceless.

Gonna head over in the morning and see what its about in TN. Been reading about it for years. If it's worth it, we'll do it again on Friday, then go back to checking out local auctions which is amusing and a great way to get deals.

Yep, just put him in a color you'll recognize when he post and sometimes it's quite funny :)

While not a part of this particular sale, we decided to take part in the similar US-12 garage sale that spans lower Michigan this year. First time ever doing it, but I can't complain. Rednecks from far and wide came by and in three days put about $1,000 in our pockets. Not only that, but I just hauled all sorts of large and useless crap that the local trash pickup wouldn't take and slapped a free sticker on it. They took it all. So making money plus emptying out the basement and garage while not having to spend money taking a trip to the dump for the big stuff equaled epic win.

Campanula: Shadow, I'm from Lawrenceburg / Frankfort area. So now we know there's at least a 40 mile long corridor of continuous trashiness!

Get the Fark out, neighbor! (Green Wilson Road ... Sack's Market). What a small world afterall.

\ I boycott yard sales, just in case they eat at Chick-Fil-A
\\ just kidding -- I've got plenty of my own broken, useless crap: I sure don't need anybody else's

But usually not. I have him tagged as "weak-sauce troll". He's prolific but not talented.

Yea this is true, he's no Pocket Ninja or Stop arresting me, but there are moments and really yea I've seen him actively troll a thread, usually its one shot and out.

Hey, I live pretty close to Addison. Thank god I don't need to drive down 127 to get to work.

I love yard sales.

This is how all the unwanted crap from Michigan ends up in front yards across the South.

Campanula: It's like a there was a 50-car pile-up of flea market vendors that left a trail of debris all over the shoulder.

Okay, that explains the first mile. What about the other 689?

Shadow Blasko: That is a very good description.

/Harrodsburg.. Danville ... Yeah

You stopped at Danville? What about Junction City, Hustonville, Liberty?

It's an iterative process that begins anew in every small town. The tacky, cast-off circle of life.

So, we can put you down for six pairs.

You can find some good deals at yard sales but most of the time it's all crap. Old records and vintage audio gear are always cool though. Not to mention video games.

I used to live on this crap. It used to be a yard sale, but now it's just a bunch of vendors that charge the same you would pay in a store, and it's all a bunch of garbage.

127 is a major north/south 2 lane truck route through Ohio. I try to avoid it if possible, a lot of distractions during this and near misses happening. People don't seem to notice you and will slow down or stop on the highway (speed limit 55mph) not use turn signals and park on the edge of the road and open car doors without checking traffic. SR 127 is a very dangerous road and has had a high fatal accident rate this year. I'll be on 127 about 3am tomorrow and can just about guarantee there will be a few more black marks on the road from the near misses.

I'm doing the run from Cincy to Frankfort. Some guy was selling an AK out in those hinterlands for $450 last year. I found that both funny and sad.

I almost made a crack about getting one for less from my friend Dmitry "over there", but I didn't want to make jokes like that to a man in the Kentucky wilds selling an AK at a garage sale.
