He didn't just land in Moscow. He landed in the middle of the Red Square.

Yep, Mathias Rust, in September of 1987. So it wasn't all that big a deal, since the Soviets were being cool at that time. Landed the plane in Red Square.

Follow-up tag MIA after airdrop? Or is it Repeat tag sleeping on the job? I just can't tell.

So, in that case...

From TFA: A Swedish plane parachuted the bears over the town of Ivyanets, near the capital of Minsk, on July 4.

What are you talking about, the story was about Teddy Bears on parachuts and your link was talking about Turkeys without parachutes. I see nothing that relates these two stories, although I will say this, those turkeys could have used a parachute.

Damn, I don't have my pics of when we dropped a bear with a trash bag parachute off of one of the campus buildings.

It was really amusing.

"teddy bear airdrop" has a nice ring to it. Though I wonder how many stuffed animals each year get packed with explosive devices.

"As God is my witness" is from the movie "Gone with the Wind" (said by Scarlett).

Now, play nicely, kids.
