Who among us hasn't tased a Victoria's-Secret-wearing 12-year old? Cast not the first stone, and all that.

The police spokesman says he believes the officer's actions were justified

Of course he did. Never break the thin blue line.

That's what she gets for being black inside a Victoria's Secret.

2012-08-01 11:40:38 AM
I would like to see video evidence that he did because she was just crying. Willing to bet she went all ghetto biatch and be all up in his face and shiat.

Anyways, thanks subby, lol'ed harder than I should have on the headline.

FTA -- A police officer tased a 12-year-old girl inside a Victoria's Secret Wednesday afternoon at South County Center.

Police say the officer came into the Victoria's Secret looking for the teenager's mom, who had warrants for her arrest. But it was the teen who got tased.

Another editing triumph.

Once upon a time, tasers were marketed as the less-than-lethal alternative to firearms. Now, they're used for compliance and entertainment. It sickens me.

I am shocked that a 12 year old would be shocked when shopping at Victoria's Secret. Sure, its a terrible place to take a 12 year to buy underwear, but bad taste isn't a crime.

2012-08-01 11:43:46 AM
How many times do the police follow people into shopping mall stores to serve outstanding warrants for traffic violations? Something smells fishy here and it isn't coming from the Long John Silver's in the food court.

2012-08-01 11:43:54 AM
Why use patience when you have weapons, that's what I always say.

2012-08-01 11:43:54 AM
He said, she said situation. Of course the mom and kid would lie about it if she had become aggressive.

But this would never have happened if we simply disbanded all police forces everywhere and gave everyone guns, instead. It would be a magical, crime-free land of rainbows and bunnies.

Let's see, who to believe. A cop, or a deadbeat who has warrants for her arrest and a boatload of traffic tickets.

Tough call Lou.

This article is so objective it's almost Hemingway-esque.

Girl was shopping, minding her own business. Cop comes crashing into store, tackles her and then tasers the shiat out of her. Girl was confused and crying. Poor girl. Give her some money.

2012-08-01 11:45:10 AM
So.......where's the store security video? Wouldn't that shed a little light on the truth?

Hey, on the plus side you can get away with abusing minority children without the family/community getting all uppity that ya killed a little kid. You can't put a price on that.

All that needs to be said. I'll reserve judgement on either party until I see footage.

According to Fark, all cops are corrupt pigs who use their power and authority to abuse the people they're sworn to protect. Every time there is a disagreement between the police and a citizen, the citizen is always right. The action of every police officer is wrong, no matter what the situation.

the mom is a real winner. Check her out here: https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do

Daughter is prolly mama-s daughter.
I think the po-po should go to her house and give her another tazin'.

Based on the officer's side of the complaint, you might be more right than you can guess.

I do enjoy the "we didn't do anything wrong" bit from mom and daughter. Mom has several outstanding warrants.

Question I have is this: how much of a nuisance did she have to be for the police to know her on-sight? St. Louis isn't exactly a rural town.

Where do you live where a mom in that situation wouldn't like through her teeth on her daughter's behalf? Particularly to the media?

I thought it was going to be a story about a 12 year old boy who got spanked by a Victoria's Secret model after she caught him peeping.

Daughter is 12....

Mom was 15 when LaTazee was born. Knocked up at 14?

Hmmm.. Makes sense for a dazzling urbanite like this.

Yes. The police should go back to using night-sticks for compliance and entertainment.
Nothing quite so funny as a good "hickory shampoo."

FTA: A police spokesman says the officer stated the girl was physically getting involved and would not back away, but Dejamon and her mother deny that. "He should have had enough control to tell her to get back instead of pulling out his gun, I guess he was nervous or whatever, and tasing people," said Bratton.

So, you deny that the daughter got physically involved and wouldn't get back, then you say the cop should've had the necessary control to make her get back?

Ironclad defense there, ladies.

Ironclad.

There is nothing more dangerous than a large group of angry black women fighting you in close quarters. I would have tazed them all.

The police spokesman says he believes the officer's actions were justified

Well, there's a surprise

He suggests the mother report the incident to internal affairs to have in investigated.

From next weeks followup article:

"under the circumstances, and based upon our review of all the available evidence, we have concluded that the use of force by the deputy was reasonable and justified under the law. Accordingly, the department finds no reason for disciplinary measures"

You'd impugn her ability to tell the truth simply because the state clocked her at 70mph in a 55?

Wow.

I wouldn't trust this woman to be a delivery driver for me, but I also wouldn't trust the cop as a 7th-grade teacher's aide. Presented with only those facts (your OP), I'd come back "inconclusive". Cops are not ironclad truth-tellers, and plenty of people with traffic violations are more trustworthy than Abe Lincoln.
