On the phone with Amos one night about two years ago, he recalls pronouncing: "I'd really be honored if you'd be my girlfriend."

Amos' reply: "I'm changing my Facebook status right now."

Pure romance.

Little did he know that being married would only make him wish for death later on. But it would not come.

It. Would. Not. Come.

She had colon cancer 3 years ago and now she has brain and lung metastases. I'm going to guess Colonel Mustard in the library with the lead pipe. Dukes Ds have a 5 year survival rate of 5%. Could be something else but when you hear hoof beats you think horses and not zebras for a reason.

Thank the fark christ they miscarried. With those genes, it'd be a miracle if their offspring lived for more than a few years without major suffering.

His liver condition.

His stomach trouble.

She ought to have her head examined for wanting to marry this accident-prone physical wreck.

CSB: The doctors thought I had that - but exploratory surgery revelaed nearly 5lbs worth of scar tissue wrapped up and around the outside of those organs. No idea where it came from but they took it all out and the problems nearly vanished. But yeah, anyone suffering that has my sympathies... losing the ability to walk for three-to-five days at a time because of the pain is awful.

And as for the rest of the article, I'm just gonna go find my allergy meds because I need them...

Eep, yeah I dunno which is worse at that point. Advil helped and at least made it tolerable to go to work for the mornings (I was part time) but after about four hours, even if I'd taken more, the pain was just awful and I was tired and miserable all the time. Surgery sucks (twice) but after screwing around with the 'most successful' hormonal therapy that stopped working after 3 months but continued for 3 more, and then his proposal of things like going on the pill (even less successful), I was like Hell. No. Take it out.

Some people sure do have a hell of a lot of bad luck rain down on them. I hope they get a nice change of weather.
