This scene is intense.

The father, soon to retire, is gazing out the window in despair. For 36 years he has glanced out of that window and seen many dreams collapse around him. Is it now his turn?
His legacy is in jeopardy, and he only has his son to rely on now.
This woman... she doesn't understand. He came to this country with nothing; to her it's just business. "Those are the old ways," she would say, "the world doesn't work that way any more."

Tell that to his son.
Look at the him. His eyes burn with intensity, striving to meet dad's expectations. The business will not fall, it can't fall.

"You... you biatch. Look at this paper. Do you see this? DO YOU SEE WHAT I'M POINTING AT?"
"But I thought..."
"DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT I AM POINTING AT?"

Not as much fun as watching you tea party libertarians twist and turn with the idiotic posts you make on fark

/is fark right wing troll on the list of 100k jobs?

Wow, the cauldron of resentment has finally boiled over and I get attacked even for non-political postings. I've arrived.

Gratch: Detwah: You want amazing six figure salaries......look no further than govt "workers".
All of whom do little, badly.

If you think most government workers are just raking in the cash, then you're woefully misinformed. Theres some 100k earners at the GS15/SES level (just like executives in the private sector), but your average government worker basically gets paid squat.

You are wrong.

All government workers, especially teachers are raking it in hand over fist. All of them.
Detwah and I heard it from Fox News so we know it is the truth.

RealityChuck: That figure for writers and authors is ridiculous. The median earnings for an author from writing is less than $5000 a year. Maybe 50 writers make six figures or more, but the idea that writers make a lot of money is absurd.

Define "writers."

Many ad copy writers, technical writers, speechwriters, freelance communications experts, PR flaks and newspaper columnists make over six figures.

That's one of the reasons I chuckle so heartily at the Fark "English major/fries with that" cliché. In my experience, a good writer can almost always find a way to make north of 100k.

Unless, of course, they're out to write the Great American Novel and create "AHHHHT."

Those guys eat a lot of ramen noodles.

And if I'm a DB, why does it look like I'm working instead of reading Fark?

snowshovel: For those confused about "gaming manager" I'm guessing that's more along the lines of a casino manager/pit boss, and less of "the guy who sets up guild raids" on WOW.

It's sad that this needed to be explained... and yet here we are.

moefuggenbrew: Nobody has mentioned real estate agents yet?
Most jobs have SOME difference between the bottom and top of the pay scale. Not real estate.

High earning real estate agents do the exact same job as other agents, some make $30,000 some make $300,000

Rich clients do tend to be more insane than poor ones, though.

PunGent: Sigh...Forbes MEANT to say "the top ten percent of some fields make six figures".

I think what they're showing is that if 10% make 6 figures on average, then there is a career path towards it and it's likely someone will get there once they have X years of experience, unlike garbage man or administrative assistant where you start at minimum wage and max out at $40K.

WTF is a gaming manager? and really what qualifications do you need? Guild/Raid leader?

/I make 7 figures as IT support
