Ellison is far too classy to stoop to her level. But its interesting that even if he was so inclined to respond in kind by correctly pointing out that Bachmann is a paranoid, delusional, bigoted, homophobic fundamentalist demagogic succubus she-beast who recklessly feeds on the most negative aspects of the human psyche to fuel her own political ambitions, she would successfully turn it against him by playing the persecuted martyr under attack by dark Muslim hordes.

I live in Ellison's district. I've spoken to him on a number of occasions. He's sensible, rational, progressive, and intelligent. Everything Michelle Bachmann ISN'T.

I don't think there's much danger of the two of them collaborating on anything. They barely even pose for pictures together. And when they do (like in this shot from the Annual Minnesota Congressional Delegation Hotdish Cook-Off), you can tell he's just thrilled.

She's perfect for it. Much like the NIST provides accurate references for physical measurements, Bachmann provides the intelligence committee a well-known zero point.

If they ever develop a more accurate reference for zero intelligence, she'll probably be used a secondary reference at an artificial stupidity research laboratory. There have been great strides in AS research over the last few years, in case you didn't know. The first human-form prototype is currently being field tested overseas and has exceeded all expectations. This new data will hopefully bring about the conclusion of the Dimwit Excitation Research Project (DERP) within a few months...

Lsherm: Corvus: If talked about this a lot but basically Republicans have no idea what they are saying and don't actually even believe what they say to them "You are part of a terrorist organization" translates in their brain to "I disagree with your opinion". So when people call them out on what they say they are confused but what they say they don't think should have any bearing on what it actually means.

It's like Democrats who confuse disagreement with Obama's policies with racism. All the time. About everything.

I will preface this statement by saying that I did not RTFA. However, can I safely assume that Bachmann will say that if Ellison doesn't co-sponser the bill with him, it's because he's a terrorist with the Muslim Brotherhood. If he does, then Bachmann will tout that the bill is so good that even Muslims support them amirite?
