What a gaffe looks like.

About 256,000,000 results

It staggers me that a GOP supporters could see the obvious twisting and misrepresenting of what Obama said and not be bothered. Not because you have morals, or some belief system that operates on regular right/wrong data, but because it's such fail. This turd, his campaign, his non-existent platform are the best the GOP could prepare and offer to their constituents in four years to prepare. That you would still parrot their talking points as if they are valid, as if they don't make you look ridiculous, as if they were an actual gaffe and not twisted shows how foolish you are. Again, not because it isn't the truth and anyone expects the Right to operate with any kind of morals or values, but because it's just that lame.

At some point, even people as stupid as you will have to wake up, claw their way through the fear of the day, and realize these guys are topping you and your fellowing constituents like Gay Gang-bang Porn, and you deserve better. Yes, even fear based, brainless idiots, and our nation as a whole, deserve better than this Clown Shoes party you're supporting.

cirby: "As they were shouting their questions, Romney's travel press secretary Richard Gorka told the reporters to 'show some respect.'"

After the Romney folks tried - and failed - to get the asshole reporters to show even a little decorum, the staffer finally lost his temper.

Yeah, let's try to make it look like it's Romney's fault that the press in Europe is made up of a bunch of rude, uncultured morons.

On Monday, Fox News host Greta Van Susteren wrote on her blog, "There has been no press access to Governor Romney since we landed in Poland. To be fair, most of those questions were stupid as hell. Why are our journalists asking him nonsense like "Do you feel your gaffes are overshadowing your trip?" What kind of a dumbfark question is that?

Why not ask him about policy? I'm much more interested in hearing what this guy is planning for America, instead of stupid horse race shiat that ultimately doesn't matter.

Asking him questions that require self-reflection and candor are also a useful means of gauging (or re-re-re-confirming) how in or out of touch he is with reality and with his own understanding of the perceptions of other people about him. A person who's not capable of self-analysis will not be a good leader.

Besides, Rmoney has already made his entire policy schedule very clear:
1. Tax cuts for the rich.
2. Oh my gosh! What is that distraction metaphor behind you?? *POOF* [Runaway]

2012-07-31 11:53:16 AM
This goes to show that the powers that be- like it just the way it is.
First the R start off with the craziest line of candidates out of the whole freakin' nation, then shut out Paul, and then they settle for Romney.

Obama is their excuse to do nothing and be irresponsible with no accountability.
And that is just fine by them and their supporters.

Because asking about the media uproar over his trip is topical. There are no meaningful questions to ask about Polish-American relations, and if you try ask a question about domestic policy you'll be easily brushed aside with a "now is not the time for that type of question. I'm focusing on American-Polish relations" quip.

In Poland, "kiss my ass" is a term of endearment, referring to a simpler time when neighbors would kiss the forehead of one another's mules as a sign of respect and friendship. Damn liberal media always has to put their spin on everything.

Dr Dreidel: cirby: After the Romney folks tried - and failed - to get the asshole reporters to show even a little decorum, the staffer finally lost his temper.

You've, uh...you've never seen the president at any event, ever, have you? The damn Hannukah candle-lighting (in 2003, I was there) couldn't conclude without reporters lobbing seventeen questions at a time Bush - whose entire job was literally to stand and light some candles; maybe 10 minutes of his time on a PR thing. He took a moment to collect himself (likely, to remember what canned answer the staff coached into him), and responded curtly but respectfully. Karl Rove didn't jump out to call the guy a farkstick before inviting him to perform and around-the-world on DC's most expensive transvestite hooker.

Anyway, no one objects to the staffer calling it "a holy site"? A grave is many things - a place of respectful reflection on life (and the life/lives of those lost), and in this specific case, it's a monument to all soldiers lost - but "holy"? With so many actual old churches and places of worship nearby? I think the respect for the military thing may have gotten a bit out of hand.

// respect, don't revere

It took somebody long enough, dinnit?

Kind of like how the word holiday gets thrown around nowadays.

Step 2. Refuse access to the candidate they are ostensibly there to cover.

Step 3. Have a hissy fit in front of reporters and imagine that that is not gonna become *the* story.

Step 4. _______

Step 5. Profit?

/Really, really bad at this.
//At this point I'm imagining Romney took the lowest bid offered on campaign talent and the guys who got the contract subbed the work out to a former call center in India.

And (FTFA), even Fox's Greta Van Susteren is biatching.

Nothing to hide, Mitt?

You're going to be abandoned by the media very soon. Better step up to the microphone and start talking.
