PIP_the_TROLL: This is the first of the Daniel Craig films I'm actually looking forward to.*now* he's starting to look like James Bond. Now he's less of a thug and more of a super spy.
gshepnyc: BruceLee1255: So my question for all the Farkers: Is it pretty much agreed that "James Bond" is a codename for 007, and not necessarily the guy's real name? This was not Fleming's idea about it, but they've laid tiny hints that this is the case for the current series.
Andrew Wiggin: entropic_existence: The_Cisco_Kid: Didn't know what "Skyfall" was referring to just by the headline, but that does sound interesting after skimming the article. I should probably start with the first Daniel Craig Bond film though if I ever do watch his version of the character. He was good in Cowboys and Aliens, never have seen him in anything that I can recall at least where he has a British Accent.Watch Layer Cake, it's widely regarded as the movie that got him a shot at the role in the first place. Similar to a Guy Ritchie Brit-Crime movie like Lock, Stock in lots of ways. Great cast to boot.goddamn that was a good movie
Rwa2play: Hebalo: midpoint: I am serious! The special effects are 40 years old and were done before the shuttle even launched for real. The approach to the space station and the reveal out of the darkness with the music is a classic Bond moment. Also, Moonraker has a great script - especially Drax.I've been watching all the films in order this summer. The Moore era has been farking painful. Moonraker is almost unwatchable.Yeah, pretty much. Maybe his only redeeming one was "The Spy Who Loved Me."Maybe.
soopey: Don't forget the cheeky slapstick comedy of The Man with the Golden Gun.
Decillion: Roger Moore = Best Bond. That is all.
