I didn't know the Zack Greinke trade was this big a deal?

Relatively Obscure: Isn't that a tear gas launcher thingamajigger?

Yes. Though I am all a-twitter waiting for someone to say it's a "teargas grenade launcher" and therefore no disingenuousness was intended.

My browser told me not to load the content of that page - and then it rendered most of the pictures anyway. I'm not sure what to think now.

I wish I had something smart-ass to say to this, but you're right. It's not going to get better.

Well corporations are now people and our police are tasked with keeping them safe.

then I wouldn't be able to implant cyberware. plus, there's all that screaming involved when you drain the life force out of people...oh, and not to mention that the government and corporations decide that you can be shot on sight. which, granted, doesn't mean a whole lot when you are largely impervious to small arms fire but it DOES tend to shred your clothing quite a bit.

Okay, loons. Or you could remember they're tear gas canisters. If you're trying for a martyrdom complex, may I recommend waiting for the MiGs and Mi-24s to begin strafing Anaheim?

Dude, do you know how much I would spend on new clothes? I wouldn't even be able to afford to keep buying ammo for my smartgun. :(

Of course, then I would just hack the net and steal the money I need...but then I couldn't play a vamp because I'd need the cyberware suite. Vicious circle.

Your argument seems to be with the ammo, not the weapon. A mossberg shooting rubber bullets is still a shotgun.

I'm not sure who's douchier, the cops, or the protestors who decided to exact their anger against the Anaheim PD by demonstrating at Disneyland.

"We're pissed the cops shot a guy in the back, but now we're going to DISNEYLAND!"

I mean, really?

Really really?

2012-07-31 12:56:04 AM
That's actually a good distance from Disneyland, not exactly the entrance.

Meh. Whatever guns you buy, the police are always going to have better and more expensive ones. Taking potshots at advancing swarms of police is just going to end up killing any chance you have of *not* spending the rest of your life in a military detention facility.

well...you COULD use bioware to juice up your vampire...but it's gotta be specially cultured AND it's gotta be deltaware. all of which makes it hideously expensive for even moderately reasonable bioware implants. Not to mention that simply finding a clinic that will agree to work on a vampire in the first place is quite a chore.

but usually vampires don't need that extra special edge. just grab a six pack of homeless people and chug down on 'em before your next run and you'll be good for at least a couple weeks.

Well, we're ditching that ludicrous digital camo sh*t, so we have to pawn it off on someone.

I, for one, do not want to see cops in full battle-rattle. However, it's not as bad as that horribly written blog portends it to be.

Selling them APCs and other sh*t? Yeah, that's an issue.

Blue POLICE emblazoned ballistic vests, and the weapons they have are fine. That they are pretending they are some elite f*cking door kickers? I find it funny, until they squeeze off a few rounds into a kid hurling a bottle or something.

It's 11:59 on Radio Free America; this is Uncle Sam, with music, and the truth until dawn. Right now I've got a few words for some of our brothers and sisters in the occupied zone: "the chair is against the wall, the chair is against the wall", "john has a long mustache, john has a long mustache". It's twelve o'clock, American, another day closer to victory. And for all of you out there, on, or behind the line, this is your song.

except that every now and then you end up with someone like Marvin Heemeyer in the crowd. that kinda puts a kink in the whole 'civilians will always be outgunned' meme.

Oh, what they did to cause all this? Yeah, the DOJ should get their ass down there nowish and figure out what the f*ck kind of department they got down there. I don't know enough about it, read a few stories, but it looks pretty f*cked up.

Especially how they responded to that weak-ass protest with rubber bullets and dogs. Someone from the federal level better be taking an interest in this.

This is what happens when we let liberals run the country. Their nanny-state laws has armed those who we thought would protect us and now they seek to keep their power.

"I can't win the war myself, so my country may as well surrender."

It's not the lazy or the cowardly that are dangerous; it's the particular kind of lazy and/or cowardly that demands it be illegal to be either more determined or better prepared in an attempt to legislate themselves some validation.

2012-07-31 01:21:52 AM
Sure, label the cops as corporate whores, brown shirts etc... the fact is, there's a difference between private protectors for the 1% vs anarchy that fu(ks up shiat for other people and ruins everyone's day. This is the latter.
