That has got to be the ugliest, worst-executed bust I think I've ever seen. If anyone ever decided, for some reason, to make a bust of me executed in that style, I would take it as an insult and demand that the bust be melted down and the mold destroyed.

The part that is the dumbest to me about people complaining about such inane stuff is that they could spend all this time and effort coming up with legitimate, logical reasons why they don't think he's doing a good job but don't.

I don't care if catering to the lowest common denominator is en vogue, it doesn't stop it from being pants-on-head retarded.

Diogenes: Not to undercut Churchill's importance or anything, but this right wing idol worship of a foreign Prime Minister seems a little...weirdly unAmerican.

It's mainly because they can't give any credit to FDR (or Truman) for leading us through World War II. FDR was a socialist! And Truman was a Democrat. Therefore they can't have won the war. Churchill, on the other hand, was a conservative, so it's OK to worship him even though he was not American. (Yes, I know, his mother was.)

"One of my heroes was a man who had an extraordinary turn of phrase," Romney said at a CNN sponsored presidential debate in September. "He once said about us, he said, you know, you can count on the Americans to get things right after they've exhausted all the alternatives. And now and then we've made a couple of mistakes. We're quite a nation. And this man, Winston Churchill, used to have his bust in the Oval Office. And if I'm president of the United States, it'll be there again."

Dare to dream, Mittens. Honestly, this is a campaign promise? Just quit now.

2) Obama disrespects the white house by not always wearing his coat.

Romney has already promised things on his "first day" that are impossible because he has to get it through his cabinet which won't exist. He is lying through his teeth and no one is calling him out on it.

Hold on one second! Is Mitt actually suggesting that the U S of A isn't always perfect? Isn't that grounds for an immediate RINO tattoo on his forehead? I can imagine the right wing outrage if Obama made the same statement (which he essentially has).

He just hasn't led the kind of life that would encourage actual outrage. So they manufacture outrage where they can.

Also: Not only is that an ugly bust, it doesn't even look like Churchill.

I can't decide what's sadder: that he's making this a campaign promise, or that a pretty big chunk of voters will lap it up and beg for more. America, I am disappoint.

Just some curiosity here, but what did Obama do before taking over the White House that made him so much more deserving of the office? I keep seeing this repeated, but no has explained what Obama did that made him worthy, while Romney is underserving.

I am Jewish. Not only that but I am very closely related to Jacob Epstein, the sculptor of the Churchill bust at issue (Jacob was the oldest and my grandfather Harold the youngest child in the Epstein family). So it's as though Mitt Romney has stopped his bus tour directly in front of my house and is enthusiastically kissing my ass as I sit here typing; and yet I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever vote for that man. I wouldn't vote for him for dog catcher. I suffered through almost four years of his increasingly absent-minded governorship of Massachusetts and I wouldn't wish that kind of smug, entitled, clueless oversight on my worst enemy. Wait, I take that back. Mitt should run for governor of Texas.

Us Jews... we're so ungrateful.
