Is it 1950 all over again?

But hey, let's let her keep her seat on the intelligence committee.

Or, to put it another way: NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH MCCARTHY BACHMANN INQUISITION!!!

How, exactly? Are they going to somehow gain access to the Constitution, cross it out and just write "Sharia Law" and then we all have to live with it?

2012-07-30 09:49:21 AM
So, what's the status of their sense of decency? Have they none of it, at long last?

Photoshop.

There should be some sort of formal sanctions against politicians who make false accusations like this. Censure is there, but not strong enough....

I'd really love to read Gaffney's source documents. That guy's got hate and paranoia coming out of his ears.

Unfortunately there are sooooo many ways they can be weasely, and stay inside the definition of what is "legal," while still destroying someone's professional career/personal life.

Well, see, we're a Christian country. If we don't Christian hard enough then God will take our country away and give it to the Muslims to punish us. That's just how government works.

This exactly. That's why Jesus said "Render unto Caesar what Caesar can take from your cold, dead hands; Render unto God not being Muslim."

Speaking of funamentalist religious organizations that have infiltrated all levels of our government, how about we investigate The Family?

2012-07-30 10:48:48 AM
Here we go again.

When liberals want to raise taxes on our most valuable natural resource, our wealthiest citizens, it's called "paying your fair share".

When conservatives correctly point out that Taxbongo is gearing up for Taxbongovania II: Taxbongo's Derp, and that he is loading the government with thousands (if not millions) of Muslim government employees, liberals call it "doubling down".

The dude has a time machine and he has used it to change over 2,000 years of human history. And yet, liberals continue to spout patent nonsense. This is not the internet and this is not a place for trolling. This is for serious, grown-up discussion. If you want to be treated like adults, then vote conservative. If not, I'm going to keep calling you the liberal children that you are. Muslims have infiltrated the United States government. This is a fact.

Guaranteed that Anoka sends her back to the hill. For whatever reason, Democrats can't field a candidate against her, and it really doesn't make sense. Democrats could have an hour long campaign ad consisting of nothing but the actual words Bachmann has spoken, in context without editing, and their milquetoast choice of a candidate will still lose the district.

It speaks as much for the district as it does the party, and even more for the state which is a real shame for people like me.

No. Commies were only mostly fictional.

Wait do people actually think America is in jeopardy of suddenly converting to Sharia law? Actual people? They think this? Really? I don't know how to process something that profoundly idiotic

This one is embarrassingly simple to fix.

Congressional representatives are elected every two years.

Surely there's enough people with brains in their heads in her district who are humiliated by her on a regular basis. There has to be someone living within her area that is able to run and defeat her.

The blame for this lies squarely with the Minnesota Democratic Party and their failure to raise and support a candidate to take her out of Washington.

2012-07-30 12:08:52 PM
...Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) have backed the group as being "concern[ed] about the security of the country."

What a spineless weaselly putz.

In a rational country this woman would not elected city dog catcher. That she currently sits in Congress is a sad commentary on our society.

Having her in congress benefits democrat more than having a democrat in that seat.

Social conservatives believe that the separation of Church and State is a librul lie, so yes.
That said, I think this is really just a fundraising ploy by Crazypants. IIRC, her district has been redrawn

Why the fark are these assholes elected and re-elected? What's wrong with the people in their districts?

I would think there are decent, reasonable people that live there too. Do they not vote? Are there not enough of them?

What if we called it by the Arabic translation of "The Family"?

I just wan to put it out there that

Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Tom Rooney (R-FL), and Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA)

are all similarly insane, traitorous, un-American, deluded, delusional, paranoid people and should be mocked, criticized, ostracized, censured, protested, shunned and forced to resign in shame, the same as Michelle Bachmann.
