I don't understand why they have to have all these different swimming competitions. Just have one where everyone just swims as fast as they can however they want. I mean, they don't have running competitions where everyone has to run backwards.

All I care about is who's the fastest.

I remember 4 years ago one team had something really funny happen, they both screwed up, but they screwed up in the same way at the same time, so the deduction was only for screwing up and there score was a lot better than if only one of them screwed up.

I think there were prelims before the games began to determine which 7 teams competed.

Why 7? Because the host country has a guaranteed spot.
