I don't want to rub it in any more, but the BBC website for the Olympics is spectacular. Every single event live and in catchup, you can build your own schedules.

That's obviously in addition to the 20-odd BBC Olympic channels on TV, showing every single event live.

And did I mention the 6 different versions of the Opening they offered? One without any commentary, one with audio description.... one in bloody 3D.

And actual sports experts and past Olympians commentating, not Ryan Seacrest.

Oh, and no ads.

tee hee.

Death the Destroyer of Worlds: Anyone have the link for the BBC opening ceremony? I keep on trying to youtube / google it but nothing's showing up. =/

You can torrent it easily. The IOC is smacking down steaming links pretty quick.

(or use utorrent, and stream the torrent)

Is there a video somewhere to watch the opening ceremony (the entire thing), if you missed it live? I can't seem to find one and it's very annoying. :\

postnobills: I really liked the James Bond sequence, but there was one *huge* continuity error that gave the whole thing away, and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet: The parachute.

Any building housing the monarch, or vehicle transporting the monarch, displays the royal standard. Therefore the fact that both parachutes were the union jack, and not one union jack and one royal standard, completely gave away that it was a stunt performer jumping and not Her Majesty personally. Someone's going to wind up in the tower for that, I'm sure.

Well yes, there was that, plus the small business about the helicopter taking off in daylight and arriving in the middle of the night.

Sure you can. And the BBC coverage is 1000% better than the NBC coverage.
