The GOP sold out Palin? I thought Palin sold out Alaska for money.

Sorry, Mr. Fleshler, Ms. Palin won't sleep with you.

For what it's worth: After Palin resigned, she moved her family to Arizona.

That's very troubling; if this article has that inaccuracy, it's possible there are more.

So, the writer says "(s)he accomplished far more than many full-term governors" without providing a single example. What did Palin ever accomplish in any role, outside of torpedoing McCain's campaign and providing many lulz from her stupidity? What were the logical reasons for her resignation?

WTF is with this shiat? The Republican party is right to stuff her back in the box, unfortunately, once you've unleashed the Palin, putting her away is not easy. Just like we cannot un-drop the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Republicans are now forever scarred by Palin and her legion of tea-tards.

Part of the reason she resigned was that she was being hit with so many inquiries for ethics violations that she could no longer afford the attorney fees.

She claims that the ethics violation allegations were political. The people investigating her claim that she's just really unethical.

With her substantial grifting skills, she could have turned that investigation into one of the largest ATMs the world has seen. Those attorney fees wouldn't have come close to what she could have made there.

She then resigned for very logical reasons and went home to live by the laws she created and then she scared off the big bad wolf and they all lived happily ever after.

Besides her obvious failings, deficiencies, and psychological issues, the GOP has come to realize another important thing about Palin (and here White Knights, for that matter): if you cross her, she'll retaliate. She doesn't care who you are - friend, foe, otherwise - she'll thrash out. Her ego is big, but it's also dangerously fragile.

As her star continues to fade (far too slowly for most Americans' wishes), you will see more of these retaliatory attacks. Getting snubbed for the upcoming RNC is a perfect example.

Palin is quoted via email as saying, "I'm sure I'm not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism."

Yes, Sarah, it's never your fault.

I find it somewhat poetic that in essence, here political career had turned into a "bridge to nowhere."

And the toll charges have been high for her supporters. Not that there's a thing wrong with that.

The most evil thing her own party can do to her is not acknowledge her. It's her death sentence. Without her compatriots saying her name, she loses power. If she has to trump herself up in the media it comes off as attention whoring, so as long as it's someone else initiating the AW sequence, she's good to go.

They're doing it right: They're not saying good things about her, they're not saying bad things about her, they're just not saying ANYTHING about her. She is losing her power because of this, and will shortly be a nothing once again. VH1 will eventually do a 42 minute spot on her. It will be scheduled for an hour, but she'll not finish it and they'll be left with mostly voiceover work and pictures to fill in the time slot.

Seriously, invoking her name just makes her more powerful. She's the Right Wing Voldemort: They can't say her name.

And years later, with plenty of spare time and plenty of money, she has yet to show any evidence of having read a book or developed a thought for anyone but Sarah Palin.

She's the perfect symbol of today's GOP.

Palin was a governor controlled by state constitutional mandates and kept under a leash by a bipartisan coalition in the Alaska Senate.

The GOP senators actually had the majority, but gave leadership to the Democrats in order to maintain that coalition, because everyone in Juneau knew she was a batshiat princess without a brain in her skull, and the Senate had to keep the state running.
