Big deal. One of the most popular restaurants here in Minneapolis serves guinea pig. And you have to call and order it in advance.

It takes time to locate a little girl with a guinea pig and steal it.

Squirrel
Guinea Pig
Capybara
Nutria

They weren't closed for cooking rats. They were cited for, among other things, having rat droppings where they didn't belong.

When I was in Vietnam (not the war, just on vacation) I passed by many slaughterhouses that would make "caturday" seem like a distant dream for those poor little squeeling kittens. Oh, and just to stay on topic... I might have eaten one... or a rat.... I'm not sure, but it tasted like pork chops.

2012-07-26 06:58:37 PM
Cooking up rats is apparently common on Vietnamese street corners, but is less commonly accepted here in the U.S.

Less commonly accepted?
