"open, honest and transparent"

Oh, he's transparent all right.

2012-07-26 02:09:10 PM
That's one way to describe his 'whiteness'.

Transparent like a ghost. You know, like how you used to put on a white sheet and go door to door to spook your neighbors.

Strange that he'd even try to pull this off considering how his reception at the NAACP was splattered across the MSM for a couple of weeks not too long ago.

They just don't give a shiat if they straight-up lie anymore because there's no consequences that result from it.

Liberal media, lol.

Came to point this out

I have a feeling that this ad isn't meant to persuade black voters to vote for Romney.

It functions more as a way for Romney voters to feel as though they aren't racists.

And it doesn't work very well, really.

2012-07-26 03:10:41 PM
Didn't watch it. Did they actually cut in footage of a crowd cheering, or just dub the cheers over the existing footage of the audience looking at Romney like he had a Boehner sticking out of his forehead?

The Daily Show are gonna love this one.

2012-07-26 03:45:11 PM
he will be "open, honest and transparent"

Political ads excepted.

I hope to hell his codename the secret service uses for him is "Kracker"

You're thinking of the other NAACP. This one is the National Association of Ammo Carrying People. They're like the NRA, but just happen to have a significantly blacker demographic.

This is awfully brazen, even for this jackass.

I was assured by FR that the MSM made too much hey of the boos at the speech and that he got a standing ovation because of how much he was loved there.

He's baiting black Americans with this stuff. If he can't directly attack Obama on racial grounds, he'll try to paint his supporters with that brush. Get Fox News talking about how uppity Obama's supporters are when they're falsely portrayed.

He's marketing this to people who will swear on a stack of Bibles that nobody in the Tea Party ever called themselves Teabaggers.

Upon reviewing the spot before it was released, Romney was quoted as saying, "What are all my servants doing on screen again?"

Not intended to be a factual statement.

The crowd applauded throughout most of his speech and only really boo'd when it came to health care. The media loved the booing, so that's what made the news... not the clapping.

romney breitbarted another ad? color me shocked!

What the hell was up with that music. When I think of either Wilford Romney or the NAACP, I do not think of that music.

/and yet if Obama aired a video of him speaking at an NAACP event Republicans would claim he was playing the race card

The instant they do, his campaign attacks them for not breathlessly reporting on the Obama campaign adding echo effects to his singing of "America the Beautiful" in their ad. And then they will. For "balance."

I know. Romney lied to the VFW the other day, saying the upcoming sequestration cuts in defense, Medicare, and Social Security were President Obama's fault when it's actually Congress' inability to act. And I blame the GOP for blocking Congress by not increasing taxes on the rich, trying to go with deep cuts in Medicare and Social Security only.

Pretty much. Furthermore the "standing ovation" was simply respectful. The guy was a governor and is the GOP nominee for POTUS. It's just courtesy.

"You, Mr. Swing Voter, can ditch your concerns that we're systematically opposed to black people at every turn. Why, just recently they applauded when the GOP coordinated a multi-state effort to disenfranchise black voters in order to help me win this election, which is the first election to ever have systemic voter fraud that needed to be addressed! Black people love us, so go cast that vote without guilt!"

The standing ovation at the end made me think of the standing ovation you give a fifth grade play. You aren't moved to your feet, but instead know you will be foreve know as the asshole who did not give your 10 year old an ovation. So you stand out of obligation.
