As long as you "Christian" bigots continue to focus on anal sex = homosexuality, I will never fear your kind. I've spent far more time in a relationship enjoying being in love and doing a thousand different things together, than just having sex.

Tell me, do you also treat your significant other like a semen receptacle, or is that just a judgement you force on others? Is that the purpose of loving someone, to you?

Nevermind - don't bother answering. You've already proven you actually have no idea of what a relationship entails, and you are probably a psychopath who is unable to emotionally connect to others.

milominderbinder: I have it very correct...the Cathy's oppose homosexual behavior as do the majority of Christians. They don't HATE homosexuals, they work to reduce perversion in our society. Which, by the way, is a good thing.

The description above is accurate. If it offends you, please do correct instead of offering nothing of substance in response. Otherwise, I'll just file that as the flippant reply from someone supporting an morally untenable position.

Your description of what? Homosexuality? You have described it as anal intercourse. Half of homosexual people don't even have penises -they are women. Many male homosexuals do not engage in the practice. Many heterosexuals do. Your "description" is factual crap, and has no bearing on reality. It is merely an attempt to apply the most dehumanizing language you can think of (in your sadly paltry, yet oddly revealing, imagination) to people you don't like.

No sh*t. Hey Woot, don't sacrifice whatever limited credibility you have by saying the f*cking sandwich isn't good. Compared to other fast food joints, it is easily the best. The rest of your advice is just fine, taking the extra step makes you look foolish.

Yeah, I'll give them best chicken sandwich in fast food. It's a combination of peanut oil and MSG that makes is good. If their competitors hammered them on the MSG thing then they could probably steal market share from the headcases that think they're allergic to it.

Now for regular fried chicken, Popeye's spicy is the shiat and don't tell me otherwise.

Fortunately you're not missing much.

It reminds me of when Sonic finally came to the twin cities. There was a group of people in my circle claiming it was the best thing they ever had. When i finally tried it I found out they had incredibly generic tastes. It was just like any other fast food chain.

Same with Chick-Fil-A. It's a pretty bog standard fried chicken sandwich.

And I'm no fast food hater. I eat that sort of stuff probably more than I should. But don't hand me a pile of gristle and say I'm wrong for not calling it a t-bone.

I love their original chicken sandwiches, but I haven't eaten there in over a year, since a lot of the news came out about their donations.

When their CEO flat out said where they stood, I decided to double down as well, and refuse to eat there at all even with friends wanting it.

Anytime anyone suggests it now, I say exactly why and after becoming aware of what is going on, they join in in refusing to go there too. I just hope they spread the word to their friends too.

Nonsense. there are several fast food chains whose food is far healthier, and vastly superior - El Pollo Loco, and In n' Out, just for starters. Chick-Fil-A is nasty, greasy, salty, nauseating hillbilly chow.

You don't get to run a business the size of Chick-Fil-A without having some business acumen, certainly.

You do if you're the son of the founder. This is why I don't worry too much about estate taxes even though I'm not opposed to them. Everything is finally pissed away by the 3rd generation. Just think, the kid of this guy will be saying even dumber things when he's running the joint. They'll probably come out with the Jesus Jerk Chicken and then when sales slide they'll roll out a burger.

Look at Ford or Motorola. They kept sticking the scions in charge and things got worse and worse. At least Ford finally figured it out in time. Moto waited way too long.

Kraftwerk Orange: Some 'Splainin' To Do: People shouldn't boycott them, they should gaycott them.

Gay people should make a point of going to Chick-fil-a as often and as ostentatiously as possible. Let it be known that they're the place for gays to congregate and eat. Make the bigots so entirely uncomfortable that they go elsewhere, and make it perfectly apparent that Chick-fil-a's revenue stream is now coming from the gay community and their supporters.

At that point, you'll have them by their money-parts and they will have no choice but to bend to your will.

[i555.photobucket.com image 400x300]

And THIS is how the game should be played. Or maybe we've all forgotten the precedents set by the Civil Rights Movement? If you stop going to a place because of how they treat you, you're doing exactly what they want. You've got to go to that lunch counter, sit down, place your order, and demand that they recognize you as an equal.

[blackoncampus.com image 800x659]

This is the most sensible thing I've seen in the last 20 threads we've had on the subject. That would take it to them. Just boycotting won't work, they've attracted more people in counter boycott. And there aren't enough people to sustain the boycott indefinitely. But taking over forces them to behave or else really look bad. Let's face it, I've been reading a bunch of empty threat "I'll never eat there" posts (you make it clear you never did, fella) posts that don't amount to anything. This is a sound strategy.

Good advice. If you run a business, alienating actual or potential customers is a bad idea.

That's generally a sign of MSG. Just sayin'.

The couple of times I ate there, the food was detectably dosed with MSG. MSG is a tool for making shiatty meat taste good to a person with an uneducated palate - and it is toxic to many people.

MSG is harmless to almost all people. It is chemically identical to the glutamate naturally found in many foods including soy sauce, Parmesan cheese and human breast milk.
An "allergy" to MSG is equivalent to an "allergy" to wi-fi.

milominderbinder: I never stated I don't like or dislike anyone. You infer that. Anal intercourse between two males is by definition a homosexual act.

Saying my description has no bearing on reality is simply untrue. It's a very factual description. Hurts, doesn't it, when the core act of homosexuality is exposed for what it is....glorified masturbation.

This is part of the slippery slope...once one act of perversion is glorified more WILL follow. From here we allow polygamy (VERY damaging to societies that practice it), then on to other things...NAMBLA will legitimized (it's already attempting to latch onto the gay movement).

At some point you draw the line and say "that sexual behavior is perverse and we don't want it glorified". If enough people stand up, we can quite glorifying the practice.

Sorry that bothers some of you.

Again - how is a description of anal intercourse an "accurate description" of homosexuality? Homosexual women don't engage in it nearly as much as heterosexual women do. And not all gay men engage in it at all - while many heterosexual men do. You are simply factually incorrect, and lack the reasoning skills to perceive it.
And the rest of your post really warrants no response, since it's premise is factually inaccurate.
You are out of your intellectual depth here, and should probably quit while you are not any further behind.

I wonder if he's just trolling. It's one thing to disagree with their stance, but it's something else to actually think their chicken sandwiches aren't The Shiat. They don't need to be smothered in gobs of mayonnaise to be edible, either. Try eating anyone else's sandwich dry like that.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the whole boycott thing. I don't agree with their stance but I also feel it's a little bit of manufactured outrage and his comments were, shall we say, exaggerated. It's also obvious that the place is run by a die-hard Christian. They aren't even open on Sundays. Is it really that much of a shock that they would also be in favor of traditional marriage?

And do boycotts even work? Would losing, say, 10% of their sales really affect them? Or would they see themselves as doing "God's work" and double-down on their donations to discrimination groups?

Not to mention think of how many places you shop at that have some policy that you disagree with. Can you really avoid a Wal-Mart? I myself make alot of moral concessions in the name of expedience. For one, I eat meat. But I deplore killing things. Where does that leave me, from a moral standpoint?

Some people think its silly the way groups fight over terminology like it makes any practical difference. I have no idea what the Woot! guy thinks, but I tend to think it's absurd that so much energy is expended over whether or not you get labeled with one thing that means the same thing as the other.

The Chick-Fil-A douchebags say they're in favor of traditional marriage, their detractors try to label them as against a group's rights. Meanwhile, it doesn't make any farking difference what label you use to the hundreds of thousands of people who are denied basic rights every day because meddling religious jagoffs insist on trying to be superior to other people based on completely harmless differences.

I see, so you're saying he's not anti-gay rights, he's just speaking blindly on a subject and doesn't realize "pro traditional marriage" doesn't mean "helping people in heterosexual relationships with their personal issues" or even " attempting to encouraging people not to be gay" but in reality means, "seeking to keep homosexual relationships from being officially recognized by the government so that those couples cannot have equal access to the rights such recognition grants."

I really don't see how it's the media spinning someone who is "protraditional marriage" as being anti-gay rights, when that is exactly what it is.

And frankly, I had no idea that not buying things from Christians who promulgate ideas I find repellent constituted hating Christians in general - in fact, I'm quite certain that it doesn't.

Its not everyone but enough to make it common.
