Welcome to Farktography!

This Week's Theme: "This Old Car"

: Pictures of or relating to automobiles over 20 years old (pre-1992).

We ask that before submitting your photos you read and adhere to the following submission rules, including but not limited to the following:

- Submissions must be photographs; screen captures do not count as photographs.
- You must be the original photographer of your entry. Do not submit anyone else's photography as your own.
- You are only allowed to enter a photograph once. Do not submit the same photo to another contest later.
- You may enter 3 photos in each contest as long as each photo is of a different composition.
- Please post each photo separately so they can be voted for individually.

Please note:

The overarching ideal behind Farktography is that image corrections are acceptable, while adding or removing elements in the image (e.g. removing telephone poles, adding Elvis) is not acceptable. HDR, stitching, or otherwise combining exposures in post processing are not allowed unless specified for a particular theme (multiple exposures done in-camera are acceptable, however). See the rules for more information on acceptable modifications, or check in at the Farktography Forums.

Legal: All photographers submitting photos to this contest are the legal copyright holders for the photos submitted and the photos are not to be considered free for any other use without written consent from the submitting photographers.

- Drop by the Farktography discussion on Fark or our dedicated Farktography Forum (for chatting, critique, techtalk and so on)

- Stats can be found here.

- Image hosting sites can be found here.

(This limo is a fixture in Lower Manhattan, but I have not be able to find out if it is someone's car, for hire or just an art project. It gets ticketed and towed fairly often, but always comes back.)

This photo was a happy accident. I was on vacation and had been shooting something with aperture priority and f/22. This Ford was in a parking lot and I snapped a few pics. I could hear and feel that the shutter speed was slow and realized I was still shooting at f/22. I reset the camera and took some more. However, even though the first pics were at 1/20 sec they were cooler due to the starburst. I don't know why there isn't any motion blur. I was shooting no-looker at ankle

My car has Biatch Hips.... In 3D!

To view in parallax format: Attempt to relax your eyes such that you are looking through the monitor. If you are successful, you'll start to see the two images of the car come together as one central image. Try not to focus on them until they are properly overlapped. Likewise, you can try focusing on a wall 15 or 20 feet past your monitor, then while maintaining that focus, slowly move your eyes down to the photos of the car. They should 'snap' together.
