He sounds fat.

A) WHO?

B) Sounds like he's just mad that the other Democrats in Wisconsin don't like him very much. When a group of coworkers dislike you, it's usually because you're difficult to work with.

Sandlot baseball sucks when the only kid with a ball and glove storms home after being snubbed his turn at bat- and takes his baseball and glove with him.

M-O-O-N. That spells "close enough for me."

WI has gone permanently to the Dark Side anyway. No big loss overall.

I'll always think fondly (Fond du Lac?) of Cadott.

Member of the Wisconsin Senate and part of the Wis14 gets his nose out of joint over not getting what he wants from Mark Miller so he's left the caucus and is publicly mulling declaring himself an Independent?

Um, okay.

Wellstone is still dead, Wisconsin has already gone to the dogs and Russ aint ever coming back. Do what ya like.

/Dead to me.

Remember when "moderate" used to stand for "sensible centrist?" More and more it just means "amoral douchebag with no real convictions and a sense of superiority." Take this guy.

2012-07-25 09:12:55 AM
So the breakdown is now 16Rep, 16DDem, 1Ind
This guy is going to be the tie breaking vote for many many votes. You can bet this was a power-grab.

Craptastic: A) WHO?

He's not personally an important national figure, but he did just lose the Wisconsin Senate Democrats the majority that they were striving for through all those recall elections, so yeah, this is kind of a big deal.

What a great morning to have the realization that instructing my children to emulate those who lead us would probably be a death blow to their lives, socially and professionally. We've honestly begun to elect people to lead us based on things without tangible proof or substance, people that most of us would shiat bricks at having to work with daily. Can you imagine sitting next to this guy day after day and not wanting to kick him in the balls?

2012-07-25 09:21:13 AM
Sounds like the Dems won't be returning him to office.

2012-07-25 09:22:17 AM
*rtfa*

Yep. "Petulant" is definitely the word I'm looking for. And it's not like he wasn't offered a chairmanship. Just not in the committee he wanted.

Christ.

"I'm taking my ball and going home" because he didn't get to cherry pick the cool committee he wanted to be on? Damn, that's some grade A junior high school attitude he has. Might as well quit the marching band, too, unless he gets to be first trombone.

I'd like to think his trombone is a bit rusty.

And no, I would not want to play it.

Isn't the WI Senate out of session until after the next election? What difference does it make who holds power if there's nothing to do?

1) He didn't leave the Democratic party, he just left the caucus. He is still a Democrat.
2) He is still threatening to leave the party though, if he does not get his way WADDAWAABABY!
3) It makes no difference since the senate will not meet again this session.

This isn't going to play well with the voters, that's for sure. I have not talked to anyone that thinks "oh, what a good idea, your desires come first before the reason we reelected you".

He tried to negotiate with Republicans while the rest of the Democrats were busy hiding in their fruitless attempt to block a vote. And he's friends with a Republican senator.

When you act like a butthurt girlfriend and start doing the passive-aggressive things described in the article, it should come as no surprise that you might get dumped.

When Republicans leave the GOP, it's because they realize the Republicans are derptarded crazy and their politics don't match their rhetoric.

When Democrats leave the Democratic Party, apparently it's because they're crybabies.

State Sen. Tim Cullen of Janesville announced Tuesday that he is leaving the Democratic caucus after being snubbed on committee assignments, erasing the Democrats' new majority in the Senate.

Didn't even read the article, did you? More like self-interested prat attempts to create leverage to get what he wants. This isn't politics, its some guy trying to force his way up the ladder a bit.
