The combination of the Bermuda High and proximity to the Chesapeake Bay gives credence of why this camp ranks in 8th.

Is there a version of this in English?

Our first "northern" NFL camp cracks the list with the Washington Redskins.(6)

I guess Baltimore(8) is south of DC in many ways...

Heh. Didn't even notice that.

\Also, mildly surprised the Cardinals didn't make the list, even if they do go to Flagstaff

If you read the descriptions in John Facenda's voice in your head it is a much better article.

I thought only the Nittany Lions did that.

Yes, it was that bad. I wouldn't have commented if it were just a typo. Even if it's changed to "to why," it's at very best a clumsy construction, and gives credence to the opinion that the author uses phrases he doesn't quite understand.

Yeah, but Flagstaff is at what, 6000 ft above sea level? That'll have an effect on temp and dew point.

At least St. Louis is near the top of the list; I was surprised it didn't make it higher, with the combination of midwest damp heat and no real water source to cool the air nearby. Granted, the Earth City complex is near the Missouri river, but I don't know how appreciable of an effect that is.

And before all you "desert staters" talk about how much more miserable it is at 112º, I lived in Vegas for better than 3 years, I know what dry heat feels like, and this (with 93% humidity) is worse.

I think it's closer to 7500. It doesn't get all that hot there, but I'd bet conditioning drills at altitude make you feel like shiat.

Recent Bengals camps in Georgetown KY (and now held in Cinci on the river at Paul Brown Stadium) were no prize in July and August either. Easily as hot and humid as Carolina or Maryland.

I'm kind of surprised more teams don't have indoor practice facilities. Training in 100 degree heat is counterproductive and can cause injury.

Uh huh. You're just biatchy because you didn't know what the Bermuda High was and you thought you were smarter than you actually are for a second.

It's rained almost every afternoon this summer in Houston. Last summer was the worst by far.

The air is hot and still, and Maryland is a toilet.

Have lived in and been to many of these in summer. Houston, NOLA, St Louis, and Tampa are the four worst, IMO. Everybody else might as well be in Fairbanks.

Anything along the Gulf or on the Mississippi south of Iowa is farking miserable in summer.
