I thought there was more than that but I guess not. There was one called Moonlight that I actually liked so of course it was canceled. Not enough creepy romance.

Has Dracula been adapted to the screen more than any other character in literature? I think so.

Looks like it. Though Sherlock Holmes is close.

Sir Author Conan Doyle's fictional detective has been depicted on screen an amazing 254 times according to Guinness.

There was that small caveat in the title - the word human. "Sherlock is not the overall most portrayed literary character in film. That title belongs to the non-human character Dracula, who has been portrayed in 272 films," writes Guinness.

He would be so handsome if not for his thousand yard cocaine stare and addict waxy pallor. As it stands, he just looks creepy.

So, he's perfect to play a vampire. Someone who is addicted to something that is hard to get and other people would be horrified to hear that you are taking in large quantities. And must above all else, hide his unusual "hunger" from the public least they take him away and do God knows what to him.

With all this talk about The Vampire Diaries, Charmed, Supernatural, Lost Girl, can we turn this into a supernatural themed TV show thread?

I know I am going to be joked, but any fans of Teen Wolf? I caught it on Netflix a few months back expecting a so bad it's good show and I was shocked that it was not bad at all. And the new season, the writers seem to have pushed all the teen drama to the far, far, far side and are basically trying to turn the show into a horror program. There are some generally creepy scenes in this show. It's less like Twilight and more like An American Werewolf in London.

He was attractive in Velvet Goldmine and in Bend it Like Beckham, but at this point he's almost as much of a poster child for why you shouldn't do cocaine as Lindsey Lohan is.

Damn, he and Ewan MacGregor were HOT together in that movie. So were Ewan and Christian Bale.

It was a very drool-tastic movie, even if they didn't show as much of the sex between the three of them as I would have liked.

Robert Greenblatt dubbed a "new version of the classic Bram Stoker" tale.

From the sounds, not quite. A new version of the tale would be fantastic, especially due to the style Stoker chose to write Dracula, but the relation to the "classic Bram Stoker" story seems to include little:

The series, which bypassed the traditional pilot stage, takes place in the 1890s and finds Dracula living a double life in London as an American businessman interested in bringing modern science to Victorian society. His true plan to exact revenge on those who burdened him centuries ago, however, is derailed when he falls in love with a

Turn of the century is correct. London being one of the locations is correct. And... I suppose being a vampire and businessman (though this is quite general) is correct as well. However, he was not living a double life, not an American, and I do not recall a romantic relationship but I could be wrong. Further, who "burdened him centuries ago"? Unless this means the Turks, I am at a loss. You do not get to be a new version of a story via vague resemblances; this is exploiting a name.

I'm really shocked that he'd be considered insurable in Hollywood at this point, between the various public incidents, and the fact the Tudors required him to have his "sober coach" on set at all times, yet still canceled the show because he's so unstable.

/He was quite good in To Paris with Love

The Tudors was a fantastic show. As for the historical inaccuracies... well, Michael Hirst himself said he wasn't hired to write a historically accurate portrayal of King Henry, he was hired to write an entertaining soap opera. Whether that influences your liking of the series or not is really up for you to decide. Personally, I didn't mind.

And I developed a serious crush on Natalie Dormer because of that show. Awwwwww yeah.
