AverageAmericanGuy: Putting aside the question of whether it will cost or save money, the real question remains whether it is the Federal government's role to provide this to its citizens. The states have the ability to determine their own fates, as Massachusetts did with RomneyCare.

It isn't a budget problem, like the Democrats want to frame it as. It is a problem of expansion of Federal powers and usurpation of individual rights.

Only the Republicans want to fight for the rights of the people. As long as both sides approach this from these completely different perspectives, America is farked.

Ah, there we go. Every time we want to start talking about promoting the general welfare, some TeaTard got to pull States Rights out their ass. States Rights, States Rights, States Rights. Let me tell you something. States Rights are good, but compared to public welfare, States Rights ain't shiat!

There's some serious typos in that article. For example, the obvious: "The CBO gave no updated estimate for deficit increases from the law, approved by Congress and signed by Obama in 2010. But it did estimate that Republican legislation to repeal the overhaul -- passed recently by the House -- would itself reduce the deficit by $109 billion from 2013 to 2022."

deadcrickets: oldass31: Stile4aly: I was so hoping to see comments on the site. Sadly I have been denied.

insertsnarkyusername: Damn I wish that article had commenting enabled. That would have been fun to watch.

Very rarely does FoxNews.com enable commenting on articles that portray the administration in a positive light. Those that do, often contain a lot of gloating from ostensibly supportive democrats/liberals/left-wingers/whatever. Those responding to them, I guess the regular fox news viewers, have proceeded to go ape shiat, typically responding to the most trolltastic gloat of them all. The whole thing turns in to a giant derp-fest of denial, poorly memorized/paraphrased talking points, and outright hatred.

It's the last place you'll find a calm, well thought-out rebuttal.

That is what you were hoping for, right?

And Libertarians like me love egging both sides on depending on subject.

Smoke another bowl Republican.

I know, right? Those damn Democrats also want to ban abortion and block gay marriage at the federal level, interfering in states' rights. I also keep hearing them say stuff about how religious freedom is only for Christians.
