I really hope they complete this move.

Right now, I really dont care if they go back to the WWF acronym, it just is farking annoying to see the blurring and hear the muting of the initials

You should have paid the pandas off in the first place, Vince!

Of course, if they can find a way to release footage unblurred, this is essentially WWE's reason to "special edition"-ize all their DVDs and release them un-blurred.

...and in some cases, it would be worth it.

Oh, but this isn't the end of their blurring, though. Lately, they've been blurring the block logo, the TNT logo, and the Spike TV logo in old footage, plus any sign in the crowd referencing Chris Benoit.

So look for blurring to continue, even if Vince finally does the right thing and pays the panda people.

And now that it's been said that they're trying to work out a deal for the scratch logo because of the network that will never happen, it makes total sense why the TNT logo is blurred on Nitro, and Spike is blurred on RAW.

Vince is still thinking there's going to be a WWE Network, and doesn't want any mention of other, competing networks on HIS imaginary network.

Well, it's Vince's fault.

He made a deal with the Pandas that he didn't live up to. If he hadn't had the ego to say I'M VINCE MCMAHON DAMMIT AND I'LL DO WHAT I WANT, and lived up to the deal he worked out to use "WWF" in the states, there wouldn't have been a problem. But, the Carny with an ego got so rich and so popular that he figured that the Pandas couldn't do anything to him... until the UK Legal system smacked him down like the little trailer park trash child he was.

I always thought it was lame that they had to blur everything pre panda victory. I'd have thought those would be grandfathered in.

Just the Attitude era with the scratch logo, which was post-Wrestlemania XIV until Judgment Day 2002. And honestly, no one is too clear on why Vince was doing that.

Although, WWE has started blurring the old block logo, just because.

Hmmm, I thought they were blurring the block logo because of the pandas as well. It really craps up the old footage when they do that.

Nope. Until very recently (the retro Smackdown a few months ago, to be exact), the block logo was fine. Then, they started blurring it out on occasion for seemingly no reason.

And yes, the footage is completely unwatchable when half the stuff in and around the ring is blurred out. What pisses me off most is the people who say that the blurring is fine, because we can still see the guys wrestling!

...unless they're in front of the turnbuckle pads, or the referee, or the cameramen and crew around the ring, or wearing a title belt, or in front of the entranceway, or the announce tables, or...

I started noticing it in the Netflix stuff. Netflix has a pretty good selection of wrasslin related material. Yeah it really sucks when parts of the wrestlers are blurred.

They did the YouTube thing in place of WWE Network, for the time being.

The way it was supposed to be was WWE Classics On Demand goes off the air after March 31, 2012, and WWE Network launches on April 1, 2012 with all day Wrestlemania programming. However, as the launch date got closer, Vince found out no one wanted to carry his network under his terms. So, the WWE Network launch date is now just "2012"... and with the year more than half over, there's been no further news on the Satellite and Cable companies wanting to carry the network.

i've seen Lakers and Celtics fans have a laugh as well as Red Sox and Yankees fans in this tab. not too up on current rivalries in the NFL, but i have seen Eagles and Cowboy fans joke, and the NFL comments mainly seem jovial. except for one person, no one really gets hate for the love of their player/team of any sport.

i was a Poli Sci major, and the political tab frustrates/saddens the heck out of me. may this be the true "politics" tab?

"Homoerotic Fantasy" tab IS the "Politics" tab. Pay attention, you nut.

They're so busy cutting 4 hours of Recaps for 3 hours of RAW and an hour of SmackDown they can't possibly have enough time to blur out the WWF on the old footage. Can't blame them.
