I watched it religiously. It was like I was part of the gang. Really living through their shenanigans. They were my friends.
And the things that happened on the show closely matched my pre-teen/teenage years. I was like a mix of Screech and Steve Urkel.
This show meant a lot to me.

I actually kicked my Jansport backpack across the room when Kelly left Zack for her Pedo-boss Jeff.

NeoCortex42: It also helps that being young means having lower standards for entertainment. Hell, I used to love watching Perfect Strangers. I watched an episode last year for the first time since the show was new and, oh dear God. That show does not hold up well.

Hell I used to watch He-Man, Transformers, M.A.S.K, and loved them. I decided to try and re-watch some of that stuff on Netflix just for the hell of it. Well, let's just say they haven't held up well and some of the cartoons back in the day were actually downright preachy with their lesson learned bit at the end of the episode.

NeoCortex42: The two "message" episodes I never seem to forget:
1) I'm so excited!, obviously
2) Oil is found on campus and there's a spill.

Regardless of how poorly the show may hold up over time, it was must-see TV for me back in the day. Even back to the "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" episodes. Even "The College Years" was alright for its short run.

Fark "The New Class", though. That was just pointless.

You people actually watched this crap? Ah hell I always thought it was some weird money losing tax write off for the studio. I mean how else could you explain a canned school sitcom so bad it made The Facts of LIfe look good?
