Yes... yes your mascot is pedo-bear. Try again, and fire the intern who suggested it.

FTFA: "If more companies would start hiring people under 35 again, we wouldn't have to go through this every six months."

LOL--that's very true. I used to work extensively with a lot of companies on Madison Ave and most ad execs, esp. for large clients, are men in their mid-40s and up. Get some new blood in there and they wouldn't have problems like this.

I wonder if I could get a job as an internet-humor consultant. Just so I can get paid to look at things from companies and point out similarities or unintended humor. Oh and:

Uchiha_Cycliste: fire the intern who suggested it.

Cute. It's as if you're baiting these guys into hiring a generation infamous for its troll mentality.

In recent years, it has turned up in all sorts of unlikely places, usually by accident, including CP Distributor newspaper flyers,

I...what? Is this a joke? In an article about pedobear?

2012-07-24 12:45:31 PM
Yes, yes it is.

Are they launching a FREE CANDY campaign?

2012-07-24 12:47:56 PM
It's the exact same pedobear costume as the one that some guy paraded outside the Sandusky trial courthouse.

Ok normally I am of the "unfortunate accident" camp, but ... that is the damn PB and someone in marketing knew exactly what they were doing.

2012-07-24 12:54:49 PM
Hhahahahha... that is 100% the pedobear, even the shaggy hairline under the chin is replicated.

I do find it believable though that they had no idea that the costume wasnt just a normal bear costume.

It's funny but yeah, it doesn't really look like pedobear more than any other generic teddy bear. I guess all teddy bears are off limits now though. This is why we can't have nice things?

Pretty much. Though trolling knows no age boundaries, this is more about Merry Pranksters and Tyler Durden wannabes versus folks who want the best for a company. Since companies don't give a shiat about employees anymore, they shouldn't expect employees to give a shiat back.

Anyway, four bucks says that whoever was handed the assignment outsourced it to someone, who outsourced it again. Nestle probably paid Big Bucks for the work of someone who was only paid $50 at the end of the line.

Pedobear needs the mondy to buy candy for the kids! How sad.

That explains the cartoon bear to me. I saw it used in the recent photoshop contest here with kids in the front of the vending machines and had no clue what it was or where it came from.

The sad thing is that even Pedobear would be an improvement over their repulsive commercials where they have ruined a perfectly good jingle by having the sound of people eating and crunching autotuned into it.

Look at the picture again; it even has the neck scruff. And as someone pointed out upthread, it's the exact same pedobear costume that was used to troll Sandusky at the trial and in the stands at a Penn State game shortly after everything broke loose.
