xanadian: ourbigdumbmouth: Isn't it a little disrespectful to the legal process and to the victims to call this guy Sideshow Bob?

No. Everyone is dehumanizing an individual who shouldn't be considered human.

So, you're saying that the best way of dealing with someone who's mentally ill, is to sh*t kick them whenever possible.

Nothing like stigmatizing mental illness. Perhaps we can get some leeches and bleed the evil out of them.

But seriously, those people that got killed should have been carrying scoped rifles that day.

Are people here really implying that guns should be banned because of this assclown? I guess some people are too blind to see the ramifications of such an action. Maybe they think a law would make guns disappear or something or perhaps they trust in people so much they assume no one would dare sell a gun if they were illegal. Maybe they also believe criminals and dangerous people would stop using guns if they become illegal.

Madbassist1: Jake Havechek: I find the bullshiat how an armed patron in the theatre could have taken this guy down before major casualties occurred is bullshiat.

There's no telling how people react in a situation like that. It could have been over by the time you gathered your wits enough to draw, or worse, in the darkness you would have killed other moviegoers instead of the doer.

Yup thats all true. So instead of attempting to stop him, just lay down and die like a good boy. Thx!!

Most shooting sprees last under 5 minutes, so figure it out, Superman. Like most people you would have pissed your pants and ran.

Here's the futility of this exercise.

Columbine happened in Colorado, people SCREAMED we need tougher gun laws, some posturing was made, people forgot, nothing changed.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

You need 140 hours of classroom instruction to become a Real Estate agent.

You need to take multiple tests of a graduated license before you can drive a car.

But a gun?

I'm just glad it was bullets instead of gasoline if it had to happen at all. In one office I worked we filled plastic milk jugs with water and left them at the coffee stations since we didn't have running water at them or any support staff. Most of us could carry 3 to 4 gallons in each hand. He looks pretty weak so maybe 6 gallons unless he packed some on his back in addition. He could have easily splattered a gallon at the exit door, got to another exit door to herd them in and tossed the rest into the air to splatter throughout the theatre except for one to throw at the biggest clump of people trying to get out of any other available exits. The body count would be pretty high I think and the injuries would be life-long hell. The only thing worse than seeing bodies that have drowned and have been under for a while is bodies that have been burned.

This douche had issues and he would have found a way even if he couldn't have gotten his paws on a firearm. I can't fathom what would make someone want to do this.

All hail Aurora!

Where despite Colorado's CCW laws you can't carry a gun publicly. Thanks to hissy fit panties over their heads lib-tards reacting to gang violence that plagues Aurora (oops, didn't the MSM tell you that?)

Neither did the State Media tell you about the act of bravery in Aurora of an armed man who capped a violent perp's as, killed him dead after he came gunning for the people in a church and only killed two before he was dropped like a stone.

But you can't publicly carry in Aurora, you just said so.

That's right, but off-duty police can, and you're not police so your options are to run and cower. Because Aurora doesn't trust you with the 2nd Amendment.

Precision Boobery: James Holmes' Goofy Behavior Sign of Psychosis or Faking It, Expert Says

Nope, not The Onion.

That's some fine psychology work there, Lou.

Yeah, talking heads talking out of their asses. The host says that the jail said that he wasn't on drugs, but the jail has actually made no such statement (not that I can find). He may have been putting on an act, but it's hard to fake blown pupils, which is what he had. His pupils were at least three times larger than they should have been for the light level in that room. He was most definitely drugged.

His mental status was not under consideration in yesterday's proceedings. All that happened yesterday was a determination of sufficient evidence to proceed with a case against him. Any evaluation of his mental status will come after his arraignment next Monday. The judge will probably order it then.

How many cases of real estate fraud happen through the real estate agent not disclosing what they legally have to disclose to the buyer...how many car accidents...both are highly regulated right?

Didn;t we just see an era where real estate agents and licnesed regulated brokers claimed the purchaser could afford the balloon payment of 40k when it comes due?

I would have picked a different name, but I totally agree with the idea.

This guy is the typical attention-seeker who couldn't get anyone to pay attention..... so he did something stupid and affected a lot of people. It has been said that he believes he's in a movie. Why give him any attention? He wants to be famous.... even in a bad way. I would rather humiliate him as much as possible. Even if he doesn't get on the internet, someone in jail will eventually tell him what's being said about him. Let him hear jokes about his looks and actions. Make him feel as pathetic as he is....

And the hair does look idiotic. Sideshow Bob is a good match.

If you want to stop feeding the attention whore, stop posting stories about him until his trial.

I understand he doesn't have access to the Intarwebs, (or a FARK handle) while he's in jail.

Don't clutter up that purty little head with worry.

He tried to kill people with guns and homemade bombs. He was unsuccesful with the bombs. Bombs made with gasoline.

He tried to kill people with gasoline so all you gasoline-heads need to shut up while we ban that dangerous scourge known as gasoline.
Oh, wait. Homemade bombs made with anything are already illegal.
How is it possible that he made bombs if that is illegal?
I thought making things illegal prevented them from happening.

1. Firearms will never be banned in this country. Even if they were, they would be smuggled in from elsewhere and the whack jobs would have more soft targets to hit, not less.
2. People are broken, not the weapons. We need to spend more on mental health in this country and a whole lot less on nitwittery firearms regulations that make one weapon legal, but another one of the same caliber and capacity illegal simply because the designer made it with plastic and not wood.
3. Stop playing the "piles of dead bodies, think of the children!" card. It stopped working a decade ago. You sound like an "anti-abortion no matter what" protestor.

We might have actually been able to prevent this tragedy if we didn't pay so much attention to you 4th amendment zealots. What do you need all that privacy for anyway? Building bombs? Hiding your small penises from prying eyes?

/it's not a troll if it's directed at the sort of dickheads who will advocate for a loss of our constitutional rights (remember the Patriot Act - never support legislation timed to ride on emotion following a tragedy. If it "must pass now", it shouldn't even be considered)
