Oh wait, you're serious. Let me laugh even harder.

Red State really doesn't want you to know that Obamacare is straight up stolen wholesale from the 1994 GOP health care proposal. That's how far to the left Obama is.

Done in one.

I certainly wish Obama was further to the left. Also, Romney isn't as far to the right as people may think he is. He's certainly left of W. He's a blue-bloded corporate elitist, but beyond that he stands for nothing socially. He'll change his opinion about anything at all if it means more votes.

This. The American political system is so far out of whack it's frightening. If you look at the right-wing parties in other countries, they're still farther left than the Democrats are.

Although here in Canada, unfortunately, the Conservatives are taking a page from the US play book. Let's just hope we can realize it before they drag us down the hole too.

THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem with "balance" in media. for years, the right, through fox news, talk radio and the blogosphere, has claimed that obama is a socialist. and though this claim is demonstrably and patently false, it has gone unchallenged in the mainstream media due to its obsession with the erroneous concept of "balance" - a concept introduced by fox news in 1996. (the laughably ironic part of the equation, of course, is that fox news itself is about as far from balanced as a network can be.)

the upshot of this is, now a good percentage of the US population believes that obama is a socialist (just like they wrongly believe that the ACA is a 'government takeover of healthcare' and that saddam hussein was behind 9/11).

the electorate is ignorant because the media has utterly failed in its sacred duty as the fourth estate.

Nordolio: What has Obama actually DONE that is leftist or socialist?

I'm sick of hearing about who he knew, and what books he read and who he hugged and yadda yadda yadda,.

What has he done? Bulletpoint it if that makes it easier. Should be overwhelmingly obvious and easy to state considering how many Americans think of him as a Marxist Socialist Ultra-Liberal.

Obamacare, an individual mandate which has previously been advocated by the Heritage Foundation, and Republican politicians like Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

I'd be happy if Obama was slightly to the left.

And you can't tell me with any honesty where Romney lies on the spectrum because he refuses to stand on any position.

keylock71: Yes, the Center Right Obama Administration is "too far left"...

The GOP went off the deep end into Right Wing Yahoo land in 2009 1980, and they haven't looked back.

That these clowns think Obama is "too far left" is all you need to know about the unhinged insanity that has taken over the GOP.

FTFY. The GOP took a detour to Tard Town a long time ago.

Lando Lincoln: Cletus C.: There isn't too far left for hard-core libs.

There are very few actual "far left" people elected in politics in America.

I can think of only one person in all of Congress that's actually "far left." And he's not a Democrat.

I wouldn't consider Sanders even to be "far left" - I don't see him demanding any government confiscation of production means. There are exactly zero far lefties in Congress whereas the Republican caucus is populated by bona fide fascists.

The guy who signed an extension of the Bush tax cuts.
The guy who signed a health care reform law that used a individual mandate (an idea stolen from Romney and the Heritage Foundation), instead of the single payer that the left wanted.
The guy who continued the war on terror by ordering the killing of bin Laden (who Bush didn't consider worth the effort), and helping to kick Quadaffi out of power (who's been linked to terrorism since the 80's).
The guy who signed a NDAA that would allow indefinite detention of US citizens by the military.

Clearly, he is a democat leftists' wet dream come true.

As president, Mitt will not only appoint an Attorney General who will defend the Defense of Marriage Act - a bipartisan law passed by Congress and signed by President Clinton - but he will also champion a Federal Marriage Amendment to the Constitution defining marriage as between one man and one woman.
