TofuTheAlmighty: Lando Lincoln: Cletus C.: There isn't too far left for hard-core libs.

There are very few actual "far left" people elected in politics in America.

I can think of only one person in all of Congress that's actually "far left." And he's not a Democrat.

I wouldn't consider Sanders even to be "far left" - I don't see him demanding any government confiscation of production means. There are exactly zero far lefties in Congress whereas the Republican caucus is populated by bona fide fascists.

For that matter, I wouldn't consider Dennis Kucinich to be far left, either. Not only did he vote for the health insurance mandate concocted by the conservative Heritage Foundation (even when his vote wasn't "needed"), he also voted yes on HR 347, which criminalizes some form of protests and serves to inhibit such movements as Occupy.

gretzkyscores: Great point. Yet, the cognitive dissonace will continue unabated as millions of useful idiots on the left will head to the polls in November with smug dreamy smiles sneers on their faces to line up to vote for him.

/cos you see, Libs are smug and sneering

I can't wait for tomorrow's piece where they tell us liberals are abandoning Obama because he's not far enough to the left.

FlashHarry: are you farking joking? obama is right of center by any reasonable measure.

I've highlighted the key word in your sentence that should help explain why people believe that Obama is a socialist.

qorkfiend: The Homer Tax: skullkrusher: Davis and Wright I can get behind but who are Ayers and Jones? Please tell me they're reliable bullpen arms. PLEASE.

Oh noe, you're a Mets fan?

I'm sorry. Seriously. I was busy cleaning all of my brewing equipment, resigning myself to the fact that, while the Nats blew another late lead, at least it wasn't 9-0 this time (as a Washington Sports Fan, assuming defeat early is part of my coping mechanism). Then I blinked at we were up 8-2.

I didn't see any highlights afterward though. Wha Happen? Is your bullpen really that bad? Because whoever your starter was last night was kind of owning us.

Yeah, the starters are good, and the bullpen is bad. With great names like Bobby Parnell, John Rausch, Tim Byrdak, and Pedro Beato, how can we go wrong? You'll want to thank Byrdak for the 6-run 10th inning last night.

I'll blame Beato and Tejada for that one. The Beato goes on.

El Freak: keylock71: Yes, the Center Right Obama Administration is "too far left"...

The GOP went off the deep end into Right Wing Yahoo land in 2009 1980, and they haven't looked back.

That these clowns think Obama is "too far left" is all you need to know about the unhinged insanity that has taken over the GOP.

FTFY. The GOP took a detour to Tard Town a long time ago.

I don't disagree, but there were still a few moderate Republicans and the majority of them seemed to, at least, be open to the idea of compromise back them.

The decent of the GOP into an "insurgent outlier" is detailed pretty well in this book:

It's Even Worse Than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided With the New Politics of Extremism

Which Founding Fathers? There were many with different points of view. They were not some monolith of thought. Remember some wanted strong federalism others more a confederation. None wanted a religious government and even some wanted a King.

Shut up you liberal nancy, the Founding Fathers wanted what Ron Paul says they wanted and nothing else.

Barack Obama has repeatedly surrounded himself with people who actually don't much care for the United States. Writing that may anger people, but it is actual, factual, fact.

'factual fact'? Is this guy in high school or something?

Actual, factual, fact. Clearly, he's a show tunes composer.

There are always alternatives:

1) Don't vote (see George Carlin's great rant on this)
2) Vote libertarian
3) Vote for an anti-establishment Republican with principles like Ron Paul
4) Hell, vote Green party

The important thing is to not support the establishment - meaning 99.9% of the mainstream Democrats and Republicans.

theknuckler_33: 'factual fact'? Is this guy in high school or something?

Someone who thinks a statement like "people who don't care much for the United States" is a "fact" clearly doesn't even know what a fact is.

Therefore, it would make sense they would think that a "factual fact" is even...ummm..."fact-ier" than just a regular "fact."

I am stupider now for trying to think that one through.

We don't need "fact-ier", Stephen Colbert already gave us a perfect word for this situation. A factual fact is truthier than a plain old fact.

Low voter turnout = Republican victories, more often than not. Carlin was wrong to say this.

Well, that settles it. After all, surely we all agree that the most important influences in our lives are our grandfather's friends.

Dude, I know just what you mean! I've been trying to open stations that dispense leaded gasoline. But every time I get ready to open, some bureaucratic jackhole comes around and it's blah blah blah, environment, regulation this, regulation that. And I have to lay off my employees. Why do they keep piling these job-killing regulations onto my small business?

Seriously! I run a small mercenary business that contracts with the DoD. The president claims he's the one creating jobs, that the government helped my business. The nerve of that guy! And we're faced with regulations that say we can't kill for other countries. That's money directly out of my pocket. Thanks government. Thanks for nothing.

By what possible metric is Barack Obama "to the left"? The Affordable Care Act and repealing DADT are the only major things he's done, maybe throwing in the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, that even remotely qualify as "left." He's the best Republican President we've had since Eisenhower, which doesn't say much for Nixon, Ford, Reagan, or either Bushes. He's center-right at most. I'd love to see him actually move to the left in his 2nd term.

Either you have the IQ of a shoe, you fit squarely into the "Libertarians are just Republicans who like to smoke weed" stereotype, or you're yet another troll. Tell me which one it is so I can mark your painfully dumb ass off accordingly.
