The first thing I thought of was the Top Gear Fox Hunting episode, with Jeremy's Daihatsu Terios painted like a fox, being chased by hounds & horses through the countryside.

Turns out that ingesting red hair dye turns them into mutants.

I did NOT expect this to go Green (Subtard here). I threw it out there without even thinking - as a "follow up" to the earlier Sun "Fox Mauling" article. It had already been submitted once and rejected...I'm thinking the "follow up" tag is what earned the green, cause the headline was a zero-effort, by the numbers thing.

Is it really that slow of a news day??

Uhm, I didn't think that foxes and dogs could interbreed. I know that they are in the same family, Canidae, but I didn't think that interbreeding was possible. Huh, learn something new every day.

Probably a case of melanism.

Not so uncommon that there isn't a slough of pictures of them on the web: Black Fox

Hybridization with a dog is, perhaps, a less likely explanation, but not impossible, although it would look a bit more like a dog than the animal shown. In the one photo, it looks like a Maine Coon cat almost.

Who's a sexy biatch, then?

They can't. That looks like a regular red fox with black coloring. Entire article is ridiculous.

Also, the article said raccoon dog/ fox hybrid which would be even stranger since raccoon dogs are rather unique and not closely related to any other member of the dog family.

I had a dog descended from an injured fox being who was being looked after in the same house as a horny alsation who came into season. Can`t count how many people would say "That cannot happen, you must be lying or mistaken"

Best dog ever but don`t cross it. I still have some scars to this day.

A fox/dog hybrid has never been confirmed to exist and you happen to have one.

The sad thing is a few people are going to read this and actually believe you.

Grandmother, what black legs you have!

It's just a black fox. What governs a fox's coloring is a similar gene expression as that which controls human hair color. Genetically, foxes could be expected to appear somewhat similar to raccoon dogs. They are both basal canines, which would make them more closely related to each other than to more modern canines.

It's just a domesticated fox. They develop all kinds of colour variations when bred at fur farms.

The Council of Furries will not not be pleased I lost a potential member. They can be very...unforgiving.
Probably make me clean out the Yiff Pitt again. I really wish they'd just go back to anal rape. That Yiff Pitt is farking disgusting.
