With Steven Tyler and J-Lo you could attract a lot of people, and especially ones that don't overlap. Who is going to be attracted to see Mariah Carey? People of that age that can remember her will think "Wasn't she in Glitter? Man that was bad" and not tune in.

Amazing how fast a show can fall from being at the top of the ratings.

So You Think You Can Dance is actually pretty fantastic. It's not even a guilty pleasure. The dancers are great, the choreographers are consistently amazing, and the judges offer actual constructive criticism and are usually kind about it. There doesn't seem to be any manufactured drama. Also, nearly everyone is hot. All in all, a great show.

I think I watched some of the first season and last season was the first one I actually watched. What's weird to me is that when I'm watching I'll think one singer's performance was really good and then when they go back through the show's highlights, I'll hear it again and think, wow, they missed a lot of notes and that sounds shiatty.

No point really. I have still never watched the beginning of the show where they show people getting their dreams crushed into powder. Makes me uncomfortable.

Oh and I forgot to add - my mom has always referred to Mariah Carey as "The crazy biatch that squeals." Heh, always makes me laugh. I like '90s Mariah Carey. I think her's was the first CD I bought. I was about 11 or so. So there's that useless fact.

Am I the only one that remembers that that show STARTED OUT as a JOKE? I blinked and all of a sudden it was "legitimate" and people ACTIVELY WANTED to be on it and it was news when they were. It made me sad. D:
