It will take a lot to get me to see this, the biggest being an actual change in the script. Hangover 2 had its laughs, but it was literally the exact same movie as Hangover, just in Bangkok.

This, and also my wife and I watched Part 2 and we both were surprised how dark natured that flick was.

I saw the first movie. It was a fun gimmick. Baffled they've made any sequels

This is getting into Weekend At Bernie's 2 and 3 territory.

Maybe we'll get some answers as to whether Stu has AIDS.

The 2nd one was funny enough, but I don't know how much lower they can sink for the gross out factor. Lady-boys, missing teeth, face tattoos, etc. What else can they do?

I mean, I know what they could think of, but what will they put in a movie?
Not sure if I wanna see that. I skipped the last Jackass movie upon hearing some of the stuff they put in there.

Never saw the first two.

Saw first one. The first 2/3rds was good. The 3rd act was a mess. They could have called it The Deus Ex Machina. There were about 5 of them in there.

I've already seen this movie. Twice.

Mike Epps is occasionally funny. The Hangover was not one of those occasions.

Part 2 was the same damn movie; had a couple funny moments, but overall pointless.

How do you "It's the exact same movie" guys rate Evil Dead 1 and 2?

I thought 2 was hilarious just because I completely didn't expect them to go as dark and up the gross out factor like they did. Now I find 1 less funny than 2.

II was passable (like Stu's temporary love interest), but Galafanakis' lines seemed extremely forced.

/Not interested in seeing III

Maybe it will be like Ocean's trilogy where the return to Vegas will make the 3rd one better than the 2nd

It looks funny! The first one reminds me of all the hilariously fun things that I think me and my frat bros did in Vegas that one time! So I can TOTALLY relate.

was anyone else really confused why the young man studying to be a surgeon (whether he wanted to or not) seemed to really not mind permanently losing a finger?

You're not the only one. Also, could you remind me which hand lost the finger? That might hinder he cello playing as well.

Is the bearded guy the reason why the group gets into those wacky hijinks in both movies?

2012-07-23 04:51:49 PM
First one was in Vegas, second was in Bangkok. The logical progession is if they wake up on an alien planet.

Or accidentally elected to congress.
Or bound and gagged in Zed's basement, one of them in a gimp suit.

He keeps drugging his "friends" The only way a 3rd Hangover would work for me is if he winds up in prison for his actions. In fact, the 3rd movie should be the Wolfpack goes to prison.

The original was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I felt embarrassed to have every bought a ticket. I walked out of the theater with a sense of shame, and asked myself how such a large crowd of people could have enjoyed a movie so pointless and completely unfunny.

It seems like comedy and music have a lot in common these days.

Here, have some juice.
*SPLARG*

That's what made the first one great, the spot on emulation of that terrible hangover most of us have had a time or seventy three(and if you haven't, WTF are you doing with your life?). The way Zach gets laughs from the guys who really do hate him but the shiat is funny(same scene, "wackin his lil weenis" Cooper's reaction is just the right amount, still drunk and giddy a bit.

The vibe and chemistry was almost entirely missing in 2. Token gags nothing new, and as everyone else said, amped up "gross out" retardedness. I like the apt comparison to Jackass..

Zach is a one trick pony, they need to lose him, permanently. He's the epitome of akward + random because that's who he is, an imbalanced freak. He's not funny, he's pathetic. I've known a couple of people like that in real life, and they're sad individuals, and a bit scary/creepy, certainly not funny.

But hey, I suppose Dane Cook LOVES zach...as someone he can honestly say he's got aced hands down when it comes to comedy.

Both franchises did the same thing. The supposed "sequel" was just a remake of the first movie with a bigger budget.

As for TFA, I don't see how a third movie will work, since the premise has already been stretched paper thin.

Note to studios: not every successful movie franchise needs a part 3.

from what I vaguely recall reading, part 3 is the guys trying to bust Alan out of a psyche ward

You're farkin edgy there mate. Right farkin edgy. Here's some skinny jeans, and you can turn in your TV you never even watch over there.

Hangover 1 was a funny movie, even when I knew what it was doing. I didn't care about the machinery of the gods, because...it was amusing, and they clearly knew they were pulling shiat out of el asshole at the end and didn't pretend otherwise. Which is fine by me, as long as there's no pretension.

Second one was boring. It wasn't even the same jokes over, it was 'remember how this was funny in the first movie? You'll laugh because you do!'. Which is all sorts of pathetic. The second one just wasn't entertaining because it wasn't much more than a reminder that you saw the first one, and here's an inside joke based on that.

Also community farking sucks. It's not any funnier or more high brow than Glee. Watched the first season of both, and at least Glee never had pretensions of being anything more than super-cheese drama. Community shiat itself in the last episode when they had Joel kiss both female leads.

It's got Anne's tits though (and I don't mean the monkey).

Loved the first one and hated the second one. Hell I was high and in Thailand watching the second. They could have done so much with the plot, but I wonder how much to government here prevented them. Such as the monks not wearing their traditional saffron robes, but rather the Burmese red monks.

Crazier things go on every night in Pattaya than compared to what happened in the second movie. Don't know if I want to see a third, even at the cheap prices here...
