Wellstone, Carnahan, John F Kennedy Jr. All suspicious. Cuba's too small to fly in compared to the USA. Besides, they have all those cool 57 Chevys and other 50s cars.

By the way, curses on you Zombie Castro for letting Russia put nukes on your little worker's paradise. God only knows that Nixon would have played nuclear poker with Khruschev if Nixon had won in 1960. Except Khruschev would have failed to comprehend the concept of bluffing, they don't have bluffing in chess.

Stalin guesses that Japan and Germany have been watching that Ann Coulter too much on the tube back in the '30s, or maybe it was listening to her equivalents on radio, whatever. What is the most common thought bubble darkening the sky above your typical right-winger?: "Communism sux!" Repeat stuff enough, people start thinking in those terms. So what Joe figures they figure is: 'All we have to do is kick the doors in, and the masses will revolt and we'll get our side of the Slavic Commonwealth on the cheap."

So Joe starts to preempt that shizzle by cleaning house. And discouraging independent political mentation.

He's popular with the "exiles" and had meetings with both them and Colin powel so tool of The Empire is probably a safe bet.

There's a big voting block in a big swing state with strong opinions on the matter.

Active dissident since 1960. If they wanted to make him disappear, they would have done it before now. It probably WAS a car accident.

It may not have happened. There's some speculation that Nikki was emboldened to test JFK's mettle after meeting him at a summit in Vienna less than six months after the latter was inaugurated. Some foreign service veterans had advised Kennedy to wait longer before meeting him face-to-face.

What exactly is the magnet for mental patients in this thread? I am not surprised to see Castro apologists, but the word salad is really throwing me off.

In 2002, Paya, 60, spearheaded a petition campaign calling for a referendum on one-party rule and submitted more than 30,000 signatures.

The petition drive was rejected by the government, but Paya emerged as the leading advocate of peaceful democratic change in Communist-run Cuba.

In this decision, we cite the traditional legal principle of "futue te ipsum", Latin for "Go Fark Yourself".

Yes, with weak Lada four-bangers or second hand Volvo six-bangers (PRV). Because they can't afford the spare parts.

At least they're still subtle. They're not flying in drones and bombing the hell out of an entire neighborhood to kill one dissident.

Cuba, Kruschev, then someone whispered "Nixon" and the Lone Gunmen showed up to educate the masses.

Wanted to point out that Cubans drive cars from a bygone era where safety was subservient to utility and style. Glad that's covered. Hopefully that doesn't make me an apologist.

/Really want one of those cars

I was unaware that "dissident" and "opposition" were the names of political parties.

If you work in UK television, and you come out against "climate change", your career mysteriously dies. Ask Johnny Ball, or David Bellamy.

A lot of Cuban dissidents die in car crashes. Odd, given that most do not have cars.

See how that works?

Er no actually. The BBC gives extensive coverage to mysics, astrologers, religious fundamentalists, and the promulgators of failed political ideas.

On the oither hand, those who are trying to make the argument that climatology is in no way settled science like the solar system, are not able to make the argument becuase they are not allowed to appear.

No it isn't. This guy being a douchebag and paling around with douchebags doesn't automatically make Castro et al. Not douchebags. Its politics dude. Its quite possible that everyone involved is a douchebag.
