I always play head games with my opponents to get them hot-blooded while I remain as cold as ice.

Duh! Competition relies more on mental fortitude than on physical abilities.

Q: How does a 'winner' always win?

A: He cheats.

It seems to me that people who need to constantly 'win' at everything are some of the biggest losers. Most of the time quantifying something to see who 'wins' reduces that thing to nothing. Sports is an excellent example. It's only purpose is entertainment, when it is no longer fun, it is pretty much just nothing.

Personally I don't understand the hoopla about steroids. Sports is for freaks, people willing to sacrifice their lives so a bunch of people they'll never meet will think they are 'oh so cool' and people looking to sacrifice their lives for a pile of cash. They are already messing up their bodies, why do people care if they use steroids? How else would a 'normal' person compete with a freak?

Sports is only about destroying one's life if steroids and such are used. Otherwise no, a professional athlete is not destroying their life or body by playing a sport (for the most part).

The idea behind the ban is for exactly that: in competition nothing is added by everyone taking roids, they'd be ranked the same. So everyone benefits if no one takes them.
