anybody else notice how as the season goes on, the TV coverage gets worse?

Fox>TNT>ESPN>ABC
By the time the Chase (football) rolls around, it's abysmal.

Not saying it's outstanding to begin with, mind you

I tried to jump over while Indy was in side-by side. All I see is Larry the Cable guy.

This is Nationwide. Think of it as the same thing to racing that AAA baseball is to the Major League.

Where's Nelsinho?

Maybe they'll be able to provide answers to the following questions that TNT left us with.

How are things on the west coast?
Mashed potatoes or gravy?

Stenhouse complaining? Shocking.

I don't care that it's Nationwide.
Last week was the end of TNT's coverage, and we all know that ESPN is the worst of the worst.
I got my green, and that's all that matters.

He showed a lot of promise in the truck series last year. Enough to catch Jooonyerrr's eye.

Little E is actually pretty good at picking out promising talent, if you ignore the whole Danica thing.

After what we've seen from TNT this year....ESPN will need to be absolutely diabolical. It'll be hard to get any worse than that was (except for the Daytona coverage. But that was there just to show us how much they hate us.)

oh, you're a week away from regretting that.

THIS. You all think TNT was bad with constant commercials and in-race tweets, ESPN will have all that and more! Side-by-side? YOU WISH !

I like the way Hornish has been working his career. He had a mediocre (at best) run in Cup, so he did the smart thing and moved down to Nationwide. He's getting himself into good finishes pretty regularly, and is really getting the hang of stock car racing.

Which is also what Danica is doing. and Piquet, and a number of others.

Too many open wheel drivers have gone directly into Cup, and have failed because of it. Even Dario. He came into Cup as the reigning IRL champ, and didn't last a full season. It makes me happy to see that there are drivers making the smart decisions after seeing so many experiments fail.

The grass looks awful. Are there water restrictions in the Chicago area or something?

That guy in the Prilosec commercial sounds like 'Tater the tow truck in the movie Cars

It's been bone dry lately. Why the track hasn't watered the grass, I have no idea.

That was NOT an infamous "phantom debris" caution. That was a "See the debris but don't acknowledge it until we need it" caution.

Agreed. The differences between open-wheel and stock cars are fairly vast - they both have different driving styles which don't really translate well to the other league. There have been a few exceptions to the rule (like AJ Foyt, maybe Smoke), but being good at one doesn't necessarily mean you'll be good at the other.

/go Nelsinho!

Okay, now I've switched over fully. So far all I've really seen is Larry the Cable guy and a hose on the track. Someone update me. Has Pastrana or Danica been wrecked yet?

92 in Chicago? Really? Makes me feel like the 95 here isn't all that bad...
