Hysterical even without a spoken word. Genius

tomWright: Hysterical even without a spoken word. Genius

And those two ladies have a helluva delivery.

Pure genius and absolutely timeless. In any language. And you know it's great comedy when it can cross languages and cultures like it has and still be one of the funniest things you've ever seen. I've seen it done by amateurs that were awful in their delivery, even - but the routine is still great.

Quite possibly the greatest straight-man/manzai routine EVAR.

I know want to watch that Costas & Seinfeld video where Jerry deconstructs the skit, but I can't find it anywhere online... bummer.

Is it different from the second video in the article?

The second video is just a teaser for the interview.

The radio version of the sign language version of who's on first?

But the sign language version of the Four Yorkshiremen is great.

Oh, and for anyone who knows ASL, can you tell me how they get around Who's on First without fingerspelling?

Neither fluent nor native and so my grammar is still lacking, but I would do "First" then "Who", but this isn't great context. Instead, just establish where the bases are with gestures, point to first, and use "Who", which is what I think they were doing in the video (still trouble following the speed).

But he's clearly no longer a straight man when he's deliberately using confusing homonyms instead of spelling the name.

I once saw it done at a local arts festival by guys that I knew were funny, and they were even the right physical types, BUT.... they didn't rehearse enough. Ohgodhelpthemcomedyhiroshima.
