Nah, he's definitely not American. If you watch the video, he really wants to rail against our gun laws, but he doesn't know how to do it, and it pains him.

He actually has dual citizenship. He kinda made a big deal about taking the citizenship test and all the formalities about it on the show.

Craig's made these kind of monologues before. He was the only late night host to refuse to mock Brittney Spears when she was going through her problems because it was too close to his own past issues with alcohol. He's genuinely one of the good ones.

nimawai: This guy has always been a class act. This isn't the first time he's done something like this. As mentioned before he came on & said he wasn't going to poke fun at Britney when she melted down. Every other host as afiak did. You can't fake that kind of emotion. He, like the rest of us, was stunned by what happened. He could have run what was taped in it's entirety or he could have just run a rerun.

Craig pretty much gets to do whatever the fark he wants to on his show. The producers were hounding to get a live band so his show could be like pretty much every other late night show. He basically said fark you. It's my show & had some strange type of band. It was a while ago so I don't remember exactly what was in the "band." In the end they let him get his way. You'll notice he doesn't have a band. His point was made very clear to the network. So Mark Ratner I may be nieve but I'd rather be nieve than cynical. Especially after this weekend's events I'd rather try to look on the bright side of life. I'd rather think people as a whole are better than they are.

I don't watch paid programming-that is how I look at nitetime talkshows. Everyone who comes on latenite shows are plugging a TV show,movie,book or album.

I did catch Furgeson's show that nite he said all that about Britney Spears, and it gave me instant respect for him.So when I am off on some nites, I sometimes flip over on his show when I am watching TV. He is funny and I always wondered why he didn't have a band like all the others.

Huh?? It's ALL paid programming.

And you're doing yourself a disservice, cause Ferguson hosts a consistently funny, offbeat show, and his guest interviews are an absolute joy to watch, he always gets MUCH more fun out of them than other hosts, even the good ones like Letterman and Conan. And one of the surprising factors is, like mentioned above, Ferguson has a rare humanity about him, very honest and down-to-earth.

So we agree then?

Like I said he is the only one I watch when I have the time.

The1andonlyZack: I hate how because people die in a huge news story type killing they are somehow more deserved of sympathy or prayers or whatever, innocent people get shot everyday and nobody outisde of their loved ones gives two shiats or gives a second thought to it. BUT HOLY shiat a bakers dozen dies at a movie theater at the big new movie and they are heroes and deserviing of getting talked about for the next 2 weeks; getting their 15 minutes of fame after they die. I know this isn't popular sentiment and that I'll be viewed as an asshole; whatever. There are kids starving to death as we speak who the world will never know as individuals. People die, it's a part of life; most circumstances don't warrant they are any more special than any other.

I don't think it's fair to rail against the people that died though. Saying they're getting their 15 minutes of fame? Wtf? I'm sure their families would much rather have had them come home that night. Yes, there's a lot of bad shiat that happens in this world and this is some bad shiat. Media insanity aside, there are a lot of people hurting and devastated. Dismissing this as a baker's dozen being murdered like it's nothing makes you more of an asshole than anything else you said.
