So to be a "mom" is to practice bigotry and hate towards those not like yourself and to try to instill these beliefs in your children. Interesting concept. Who else had these theories about how to raise children?

A while back, I signed up for email alerts from OMM, for shiats and giggles. Honest to god, they seem like a parody of an actual organization. Half the emails are target marketing to buy "Christian" books and DVDs.

From what I understand, OMM has less members than your average "Thursday night bookclub and cheap wine guzzle".

One million moms?

More like 3,000 bigots.

2012-07-21 10:13:14 AM
They have every right to watch or not watch whatever they please. Thankfully we also have the right to call them out on their intolerance, bigotry and poor fitting jeans.

It all balances out in the end.

As long as NBC isn't bumping Community around the schedule to make room for this new show.

Isn't that usually the true raison d'etre for these organizations?

To sell stupid people stupid shiat.

Is this the same group that demanded Sears end their sponsorship of the Ellen Degeneres show, and Sears basically told them to go fark themselves?

Close your eyes, click your heels together three times and repeat "There's no such thing as gays".

Practically everybody they try to tell what to do tells them to go f**k themselves. I have no idea why or how this "organization" still exists.

I demand to see the membership list and the short hand obstetrical history for these alleged 1,000,000 moms.

2012-07-21 10:48:26 AM
I'm all for gay couples and shiat by the title "The New Normal" is 1) retarded 2) was specifically chosen to attract this sort of negative attention for ratings.

2012-07-21 10:52:07 AM
I for one will go out of my way to watch this show, even if it's typical NBC crap, just to spite these narrow minded, ignorant harpies.

Signed,

Teresaol31, mom who's pissed at OMM trying to tell the other estimated 84 million moms in the US what to think, purchase and view.

Um, their uterus got sprayed with man-pudding and an automatic process squoze out a baby 9 months later. Therefore, you better listen to and respect these women, you single, childless atheist worm.

The OMM group has never made an impact, so wgas?

One of the show's star is Andrew Rannel (Kevin from the book of mormon musical). Heh, I might watch it once to see how good (or bad) it is.

As for OMM, they can roast in hell for all I care.

It's pretty cheap to press that "Forward" button on an email.

I don't blame them, when my daughter was young we used to watch Spider-Man cartoons together, and now she is a spider.

Same thing happened to my nephew and the Go Bots.

Why couldn't he have just been into the Transformers? Is that too much to ask?

The post a couple above yours where a Farker says he subscribed to their e-mail list and half the emails he gets are trying to sell some piece of "Christian" junk explains that.

Wrong character. These women are the ones you drop the house on.

Did this group start out with a million moms? That's quite a trick. Normally you start out with 2 or 3, then 100, 1000, 10000 and work your way up to a million. But this group started out with a million. Huh. Or maybe changed their name as they got bigger. But 10000 moms doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

I'm thinking there aren't really a million.

Gee, NBC should thank you, OMM. I had no intention of watching this, or at the very least had not yet heard of it, but now, thanks to you, I'm in.

Your tears, they are like nectar.

Someone must be watching if they're still broadcasting and churning out some of the most godawful shows in the history of television.

What is it with right-wingers looking like this? Is it hard not to look like you have to register with the state wherever you live?

Bingo! Right wing media is largely based on separating fools from their money: gold, overpriced computers bought on credit, Christian crap, etc.

If they took this advice surely they wouldn't be so uptight.

Or certainly not as tight anyway.
