They don't fear him because he has the Chris Christie, they fear him cause he'll let the Chris Christie out.

I've heard rumors of Christine running for VP and they are silly.

1) Guy's got a HUGE ego. He'll be a Presidential candidate or nothing. Playing impotent second fiddle to a 1% like Romney would not sit well with him.
2) He'd politically do much better if he finishes off being Gov. in NJ and showing some kind of success record.
3) This is a losing election and Christie knows it -- he wouldn't be able to politically weather a loss w/Romney, some of that failure would be blamed on him directly.

DO NOT WANT Poster Girl: I've heard rumors of Christine running for VP and they are silly.

Christie is a white male.

There is no way they're going with a white male.

The non white male options are pretty thin. I seriously doubt Rice would do it, plus she has the Bush taint (*giggity*).

If they go there, I say Kelly Ayotte. But while she's not a nut like Palin, there are some eerie situational parallels.

I honestly think his best bet is Jeb. While a white male, he's got cred with the Latin community. I doubt he would accept, though.

You idiots are misreading the headline. It's not Chris Christie's weapon, or a weapon against Chris Christie, but rather Chris Christie himself as a weapon.

Presumably loaded into a trebuchet, or rolled down a tunnel after Dem infiltrators.

Admiration of Chris Christie is highly correlated with being an emasculated middle-aged suburban nobody who lives vicariously through a paper bully with a ton of backup.

Just don't brandish him too hard. Tampa isn't that used to tremors.

A wooden counterweight trebuchet isn't gonna get the job done. You'd need titanium or something stronger so that the whole arm goes up without snapping in two.

Romney would pick a "pleasant, un-threatening fellow like Tim Pawlenty for the ticket.

This man was a horrible governor. He used his time in office to attempt to make him a presidential contender at the cost of MN. He cut costs for mandatory programs which simply transfered the taxes to the county/local level which in turn had to increase their taxes. He didn't impose any new "taxes" because he called them fees, which where later ruled illegal. He is as much of an empty suit as Romneybot.

Of COURSE Rmoney does not want to hang out with him. Mormons generally don't buddy up to people who swear or drink or have a bad rep.
BUT, if they can leverage that somehow to make themselves look more god-like, they'll kick your grandma out of the way to get there first.

I wonder how casting is going for the young republicans charged with being the liberal foils to Christie's tough guy routine at the convention. I bet they'll be wearing tie-dye. That's what liberals wear, you know.

In the back of my mind, I am almost bothered that this entire thread is nothing but fat jokes.

In the front of my mind, I realize there is nothing else to talk about.

Such a pickle. If Romney wants to run on jobs and the economy, he should pick an award winning economist as his VP. He can't, because a real economist would disagree with everything Romney says. So instead, he throws out fat people for us to laugh at about while we wait for a bunch of nothing from him.

Not only that, but we get to break out this handy-dandy chart showing how Pawlenty wants to blow up the deficit even more than Romney does!

Christie got elected mainly because Corzine sucked as a governor & Christie had name recognition from his time as a US prosecutor (or whatever he did) busting crooked politicians (easy to do in this state). I didn't vote for Corzine because I thought we needed a change. That said, I am getting tired of Christie's act. Disagree with him? Then he calls you an idiot. Present him with some unpleasant facts that doesn't go along with his story? Then you are incompetent. Guilani could be unpleasant, but at least he helped turn NYC around. NJ feels likes the same old same old.

From his cursing a citizen at the shore to his "Corzine Democrats" commercials, he is starting to seem unstable to me. He whines like Romney, except his whines are filled with curses and a lot of attitude.

Christie thinks he might be the nominee, now. Romney could be done if the Swiss amnesty rumors prove to be true. There could actually be an open convention. What an insane ride this could turn out to be.
