It is amusing how heavily regulated in the banana trade. There are myriad rules and regulations that importer & exporter of bananashave to abide by. Writing about how truculent the banana trade is, I am reminded of a song that was popular during the period after WW II that started with the phrase:

"Yes, we have bananas today!"
