Transport Police have dealt with 260 drink-related incidents in the past six months,
ScotRail runs 95% of Scotland's trains, more than 2,000 services a day.

So from over 360,000 train services, there were 260 incidents. That's .072% of the time.

Sounds like the ban was clearly necessary.

Did the TTC ever get a bar car?

They will just have to use something that does not cause a person to smell so bad. Then can explain the stupor as medication or bad parenting.

That would make my commute a lot better each day.

What a shame. I was on a train in Scotland in 1993 and a very large Hen Party was on the train. One woman, very attractive and very drunk, sat down in the seat in front of me. She then leaned forward and started kissing me. One thing led to another and I joined the Meter High Club that day! Booze on trains in Europe can only be a good thing!

Speaking of drinking in the mornings... Did anyone see this week's Workaholics? Good episode where they are trying to prevent a hangover after waking up drunk.

If I only drink socially then how can drinking be antisocial behavior?!

/I don't but just saying

That's what they want. DUI in every country gives the local jackboots all the moral reason they could hope for to put you under their thumb and crush you. They don't care about lives, it's about control.

If you've ever been on a ScotRail train on match day, you'll know why they don't serve booze on those trains.

1) There's nae room fae the cart.
2) The Tartan army gets on board "pre-loaded".

Raises hand, "I have".

No, I don't want to repeat.

And if you're a sheep shagger (Aberdonian/Aberdeen supporter), you may be set on fire.
