q_j may not have actually read the story attached to this wkend's winning tale. Ni Hao, as it says in tale, is Mandarin for Hello. Was reminded of that during recent World Choir Games here, as there were I never counted how many Chinese choirs. "Many"!

I'm pretty sure posting pics of dead animals is a fark no no.

I'm pretty sure that an admin knows what she can an can't post.

If that's an admin, they're too stupid to remember their own rules and should be fired.

Graphic image content: Images that would make most viewers feel ill, upset, or uncomfortable. This includes but is not limited to: cadavers, autopsies, surgeries, vomiting, severed limbs, alarming deformities, dead animals, extreme body modifications, torture, and bodily functions are not to be posted in the threads. Images that depict graphic content will be deleted. Images containing child pornography will be reported to the appropriate local and Federal law enforcement agencies. The use of images depicting well-known tragedies such as 9/11 is not forbidden - but is generally frowned upon. Are those Bearded Dragons? I love those guys. I had one in my care for a while (belonged to an old roomate.) Beardies are cool critters. Fun to watch them eat live crickets.

Yes they are. We got Sage for my daughter when he barely was the size of the palm of my hand a year ago. Now he's close to two feet long. Rosemary we got a week ago for my my daughter's b-day. She loves them to death, but freaks out when it's time to feed them hissing roaches, meaning I have to do it. She got Rosemary because Sage got "lonely" according to the vet. So now we'll see how long it takes for some baby beardies to come along.

Bingledak: hey everyone, finally feeling up to sitting at the computer for a bit. I have a little kitty outside that I am trying to befriend - gray and really skinny. I fed him last night but he wouldnt come to the bowl unless i walked back in the house and didn't look at him lol - I will try to get a picture of him.

Takes a while to build the trust... survival instincts are foremost.. took me 2 years to be able to pet my nightly feral visitor.. he didn't know what rubs and scritches were.. he does now, and he likes them a lot. He,s also the daddy of the two kittens I have.. Once you have a ritual established, as in feeding him, the trust will begin.. be calm, and no sudden moves.. try walking back to the house and sitting on the steps, where he can see you.. as long as he doesn't feel trapped, he's ok...

syzygy whizz: Healing thoughts going out to clans Yobbery and Spinach Gunk...
Sorrow for your loss of your loved ones...and indeed, they were very loved.

Was very grateful for the presence of Raven with me last night at work...
some physical shiat (migrating toothache, strained rotator cuff on one side, pinched nerve on t'other and the...how shall I put this...joys your hormones give you of getting older)...and some co-workers who could benefit from Boot To The Head had me in tears at about 2AM this morning.

Well, they might not benefit from BTTH...but I'D sure feel better for administering one...

Sat down to have a good cry, and just like magic, a little trill ("Mrrrr?") and Raven was in my lap, wanting to know what was wrong and what could she do to help.
Some snuggles, purrs, 'floaty kitty' (Raven likes to be held up in the air on her back-'floated' in the air) a bit of 'knuckle sammich/your hand haz a flavr'...and things didn't seem quite so disgusting after all.
SO glad I can bring that little black cat to work with me...

I still have a migrating toothache...saw the dentist; nothing wrong/infected/perforated...but it HURTS...and the ouch doesn't stay in the same place.

:o) They're good for that sometimes.

/hope you're feeling better.

I looked under there this morning, and I found about 30 socks, but didn't make it to the box spring. That cat was notorious for stealing things while we were asleep or out. Also found six of my daughters MLP's, so I'm worried about what else might be under there.

He was about 6-7yo, far too young. he was a rescue animal, and when i adopted him he already had a brain tumor, but i didn't care ( i should've, would've saved heartache). anyway. now i've adopted two kittens, a boy and a girl. two questions: how do i upload pictures from camera phones? and, the male cat is 3 mos old and the female is 2 mos, and he really seems to bully her, how worried should i be?

Well, I think I may have to take my eldest cat, Bea, to the vet soon to have her checked out. She's 14, really not that old, and an indoor cat. She doesn't meow anymore, she just squeeks. She's been having trouble walking; I'm thinking it's due to her weight, but I'm afraid it might be something else. Yesterday, she pottied in the kitchen (both) and she's NEVER done that.

I'll keep you posted...

Hattie Marie, our first pet. She's been gone for about 6 years now, but a very nice first pet. She was attached to my son more than anyone else. He had juvenile diabetes, and she was our early warning system. If his blood sugar went haywire, then she was practically attached to him and would cry until we came running. Very gentle cat for as big as she was, and the only pet we have ever had who wasn't named after food.

The original psycho kitty. She loved stealing socks, hair ties, MLP's, and god knows what else. She also loved to come running into the dining room while we were eating and jump up on the table, steal something off of someone's plate, (broccoli, ham, or cheese was her favorite) and taking off before anyone really could do anything about it.
