But, I was told just last week that:

"Let's hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won't abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector."

...was merely a metaphor. So what's wrong with the horse ad?

Oh, nut up, you farking asses.

Your opponent has a dancing horse he used as a tax deduction that's slightly less than twice the average household income in this country.

Just don't claim it as a tax deduction.

FTFA: Ann Romney, who trains with show horses as part of her therapy for multiple sclerosis, took offense in an interview with Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America," and now the DNC is saying it will put out no more horse videos, and is expressing regret for offending Ann Romney.

Yes, I'm sure training show horses is STANDARD THERAPY for MS sufferers at all insurance and income levels, right?

That being said, families are and should be off-limits.

Nor should you. This was an attack on tax havens and being out of touch with the people.

Now whether that's something we should care about is another issue. I don't care that the Romneys are wealthy. I care that Mitt appears to be a master-class dick, and I care that his idea of fixing the economy seems to be actively screwing the poor up the ass. But just the fact that he has money enough that he has strange tax habits... that I don't really care about.

Not much. I have a friend who is a single dad with MS.

This is already a brutal campaign, but the Obamas have long said families are off limits. Apparently somebody high up reminded the DNC of that.

The horse is related to Romney?

/Well, I do kinda see a family resemblance in the chin area.

Maybe the doctor should just write a note saying being Rich is therapy and that way Romney won't have to pay any taxes at all.

Fark you and the horse you rode in on.

The curveball: Mrs. Romney never even took offense. And the episode was more a mark of Democrats' fear of provoking sympathy for the candidate's wife than of any move by the Republicans to capitalize on it. Link

The fact that the guy who got a 72 thousand dollar deduction on a dancing horse also has the mendacity to whine about minorities wanting "Free stuff" makes this asshattery even more egregious.

Also, Mitt, if you don't want people to say stuff about your wife maybe you shouldn't hide behind her dress and send her out as a proxy for you so often, eh champ?

It is ironic that the Democratic Party - full of multi-millionaires, wanna-be multi-millionaires, and bought-and-paid-for employees of multi-millionaires diligently working to join the ranks of multi-millionaires - would mock an opponent for being a multi-millionaire. They must be banking on the assumption that their target demographic is too stupid to realize that they're being exploited by a bunch of rich fat cats pretending to be in solidarity with the paycheck-to-paycheck masses. But, hey: That schtick has worked for them for years. If it ain't broke, why fix it, eh?

How was this an attack on her? Pretty sure the ad specifically mentions the tax deduction they took for the horse ($77,000) and doesn't mention what they do with the horse.

Now the pics here insinuating a sexual relationship between Mrs. Romney and the horse, those are attacks on her, but those are ok because this is Fark and her husband is a Republican. But questioning the tax deduction taken for the horse, that's fair game and not offensive to Mrs. Romney.
