What I find funny is that her prime suspect of being a Muslim Brotherhood infiltrator into the US government is married to a Jew.

Class act? It's farked up that we now confuse "doing what normal people do" with "class act." It's like getting an award because you remembered not to leave your kids locked in a hot car.

While I'm pleased with what McCain said and agree that he's largely a decent guy, it does make him particularly awesome. It makes him not insane.

"...that the congresswoman failed to provide "one instance of an action, decision or a public position that Huma has taken while at the State Department that would lend credence to the charge that she is promoting anti-American activities within our government".

At what point has the GOP given a damn about citing "one instance of an action, decision, or public position" when they go after their enemies? How many times did you let your VP candidate spread vitriolic, paranoid bullsh*t under your banner? Where were you then? You should have never entered presidential politics, man. You knew you were gonna have to sell your soul and nothing you say now is going to make up for it.

Exhuming McCarthy, indeed.

It still fits into the crazy. Jews are just placeholders so the true Christian fundies can use them to get the Holy Land. Or something like that. Either way, Jews and Muslims aren't to be trusted.

/not a fundamentalist Christian.

'specious and degrading'

This describes just about anything coming out of the Republican Party.

2012-07-18 09:47:35 PM
From what I can tell, McCain feels burned by The Republican Party. He succumbed to the pressure from The Party against his better judgement in his campaign, and now he's in a position where The Party can't do anything to him. He really speaks his conscience now and doesn't care about partisanship.

If only more people on both sides did.

Bachmann, a member of the House intelligence committee...

As if that wasn't bad enough now the poor woman has to deal with the kooky biatch on top of it.

Her (staff's) letter to Keith Ellison

Wow... she had the chutzpah (pronounced ˈhʊtspə, Michelle) to send the letter containing those claims to Keith Ellison, one of only two Muslims in the House... I know he asked for an explanation, but she didn't even tone it down when addressing him.

WOW. That was a great read. It is mindboggling how people like Bachmann manage to get so far in their political careers. She's actually citing right wing extremist hate sites as credible sources.

And we have the head of Faux News sending right wing chain emails to his news producers urging them to use these emails as potential topics for shows. The GOP has gone so far off the farking reservation that it's embarrassing that they're still a major party.

That's supposedly part of the big scary conspiracy. These Muslim Brotherhood plants are acting all anti-Muslim and Jew-loving just so they can weasel into positions of power, and then BAM, all our kids are praying toward Mecca.

The shiat these brainless morons will believe is the stuff of bad spy fiction.

2012-07-19 02:30:01 AM
I find it ironic that the biatch Bachmann, who maintains a security clearance despite the fact that she has advocated the violent overthrow of the US Government on more than one occasion, "expressed concern" over how Huma Abedin was able to get a security clearance. Oh, I don't know, Michelle, maybe because when asked one of the primary security questions like, "Have you ever advocated the violent overthrow of the government, or ever been a member of a group that advocated the same?" she was able to honestly answer "NO!"

I have a question and I'm dead serious: does anyone else think Michele Bachmann may be mentally ill? Not in the casual, name-calling sense. I mean that she literally suffers from some sort of mental illness.

The claims and conspiracies she's been putting out are almost schizophrenic.

I believe McCain is seeking absolution for the massive mistake of unleashing Palin to the country and the world. Palin, of course, was the work of a committee, but a committee that McCain was involved in. He sees his destiny at the moment is jacked. Now, he's working to redeem himself.

Bachmann should be widely shamed for this disgusting, racist slander.

I'll give credit to John McCain for doing the right thing. He didn't have to make his case as strongly as he did. Every decent human being would disagree with Bachmann's actions here, but not everyone would do so as publicly.
